Chinese WE7

Hello everyone,

I'm living in Beijing at the moment and bought a copy of WE7 here a while ago - unfortunately its all in Chinese and my Chinese is non-existent so I've been limited to friendlies. Once though, I heard English commentary suddenly breaking through the Chinese one for a minute or so, so I guess that the Chinese has maybe just been stuck on top of the normal game. Does anyone know anything about this? I was hoping there might be some patch that would change the menus to english (the players are already) but I can't find anything - will I just have to print off a translation? Cheers

This for PC? if so have you tried one of the patches which changes the team/player names etc? not sure about menus. I know you can get patches that do all that on PS2.
And don't you mean Japanese? :)

Yep, its for the PC but no, I don't mean Japanese, its a special Chinese edition, brought out earlier this year. I'm living in Beijing at the moment so that's why I've ended up with it. It seems to be pretty much exactly the same game as my mate's Pro Evo 3 on the PS2 in Ireland. I haven't downloaded any patches yet as I didn't know if they'ld work for this version, I'll try that though if no one else has heard of this edition! The player and club team names are in English, everything else isn't.

Hmmm, ok I'll be more specific and maybe get someone interested enough in my little problem to give me some guidance.

I've downloaded Wolf's 2nd-last 'final' full patch for WE7 PC in 5 rar files and joined them together using HJ split into one enormous AFS file (nearly 3GB! - am I doing this right?)

Unsure of what to do next, I simply replaced the original data_e.afs file with this one. The game didn't start so I put the original one back and downloaded AFS Explorer. However I don't know which folders I should replace.

Like I said, it's the Chinese edition of WE7Int that I've got and though it plays very similarly to my mate's PS2 version of PES3 that I played loads in Ireland, it came out a couple of months later and there seem to be far fewer irritating handballs and idiotic advantage decisions. I would be worried that installing all of Wolf's patch would (somehow) get rid of these gameplay improvements.

So, I suppose I'm looking for someone to tell me which folders to update in order to get the menus, etc in English (if this is indeed possible) and the kits/players to match Wolf's last option file - I'm not too worried about stadia and the like. Or a link to that info. Also, could someone let me know if I'm decompressing the RAR files correctly as I think I might not be.

And if anyone knows anything about this Chinese edition of WE7 (i.e. if I'm right about these gameplay improvements or just imagining them!), I'd love to hear about it!
