Chipped ps2

i know its probably been asked a hundred times before but could some1 tell me how, or where i can get my ps2 chipped, if it can cuase ne harmful side effects to my ps2 and if its worth it?? cheers.

If it´s made by experts then it shouldn´t harm anything in your console. It´s definately worth to chip your PS2, check out also this thread

The DMS Modchip I heard is the best. Im not sure what else every one uses.

But new console models - think V( ( silver PS2) looks like have serious problems - i see many of them damaged (or some parts damaged ) after instaling new DMS chip , but also without chipping some die after few weaks - dont know whwrw exactly the problem is , looks like sony using cheap parts or overal console construction is crap

the silver console your on about is a v9 and was made with crap parts, it didnt last long in production and most consoles in the shops now will be v10 so there shouldnt be any problems with chipping them safely.
