colour bars below player names?

During a game what purpose do the colour bars have? You know... the ones below the players name.

it deals with the level of your whole team's attack/defense mindedness.

Very annoyingly Konami made the default for this setting Automatic, which means if you want to make your team more attacking/defence i.e. if you're pushing for a last minute goal then the computer changes it back to normal

I do think it works very well though, and you can press it when theres a cut scene and when it comes back too normal play the colours changed.

so....do u guys change ur attack/defense level during the match? I've noticed that some teams are more attack/defense oriented (i.e. juve would stay defensive - green a lot of the time, barca normaly is yellow or orange). but getting back to my question - does anyone really use this stuff?

I use it a lot, I've taken the time to go through most teams and change their attack levels so that their manual because automatic really does suck.

i don't really use it since it changes automatically...for example if i'm losing the bar will become more attacking (pink) so....but maybe i should use a bit more often...
