controller bug

i was wondering of someone could help me with this, as i have this problem since the first day i isntalled pes, the problem is that everytime i start the game, the option fie never remembers that i use a gamepead, and i always have to change it, from keyboard to gamepad in button config, but there are times that when i change to the gamepad, and as im setting the button correctly the game bugs and i cant change anybutton becasue every time i click on one to change it, that button goes as Y- and i cant change it, i was wodneirng if some1 had the same problem, and if anyone knew how can i fix this-

Go to the options menu and save the option file after setting it to your preferred settings. Or turn Auto-save on.
Should do it.

What pad are you using?
I'm using a converter and a PS2 pad. Guess the game is a bit simple in terms of being a direct port from the ps2 version and just likes ps2 pads.....

use the Setting program in at StartMenu>Programs>Konami>PES>Setting
