Converting into one complete PPF file

I've got to a stage where I have patched a PPF file onto a WE7 image (haven't burnt it as don't have a CDRW) but the process seems to have worked. Looking at Wolf's site some of the patches have about 10 different parts to them. How do I apply them onto a clean WE7.bin file? They seem to contain .RAR files which I'm not sure how to deal with them.

What patch have u d/loaded eddy? - most of them on there are self extracting, so u simply use win rar to open the first rar file and all the rest follow suit.

I am experiecning my own problems actually. D/loaded zeros newest patch but it's not self extracting so i have 7 rar files, anyone know how i un rar them to form one ppf??? - ive never done it this way before...

You should have all the component .rar files in the same folder. You need to use WinRAR to unrar (or uncompress) them.
Get WinRAR from
http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

Once you've installed WinRAR, you just have to double click on the first RAR file of the patch.

Click on "EXTRACT TO". Then WinRAR asks you which folder to send the uncompressed file (eg .bin or .ppf whatever). The default choice for this is to open a new folder in the one where the RARs are currently located. Once you have specified where you want the new file to be sent it should do it. You may have to wait a bit depending on how large the file is.
Once this is done, check the new folder and you will have the full size, uncompressed .ffp file in there.

If you have all the parts of the patch in one place, it should sort itself out. Possibly, it won't unrar if one of the parts contains an error so you may have to download it again.

You need to extract the whole package so that you get a lot of .rar-Files, every .rar has a ppf in it, open the first rar, extract the ppf from it, apply, burn, play.

So I have downloaded all of the parts of Y2KSA's 2.0 patch which is 1 .exe file and then 9 .rar files. In this instance would I just open the .exe file?

Yes, then I think the ppf should be in every rar, open one rar and extract the ppf from there and apply it with ppf-o-matic3

I downloaded zeros newest patch and when I unrared it I was presented with 7 files that all included 4 files. One was called Zero patch etc and was a .ppf, one was called pearl ball (optional) and was also a .ppf and there were two more called something else. This was the same in all 7 files and they were all the same size except one that was slightly smaller. What do I do then? I'm really confused.

I went ahead and burnt a copy using the 'Zero patch' .ppf in the first of these 7 files and it worked but there were no kits and no English commentary. The title screen was different, the music was edited and the adboards and stadiums were also edited. The commentator said a few phrases in English but most of it was in japanese. What's going on?

As I said before, just open one rar file and extract the ppf and apply it, that´s all. The second ppf (the small one) is for a new ball and you don´t need to apply it, it´s optional.

Do you just apply these over the top of the original patch? Does the english commentary thing work? It doesn't on mine , I just get a blend of Japanese and English. Wierd!!

It´s just optional, so you first need to apply the main patch and then the add-ons over the patched image. The commentary thing does not work for me too. But since I´m playing with the commentary turned off I don´t care about this problem :)
