Copied Disc ?!

Hi All,

I have had no joy in getting PES3 to work on my PC (specs at bottom). I was able to install the game ok, BUT whenever i went to play the game, either through the shortcut or auto run menu or .exe on the dvd nothing happened !

BUT on one try i got an error message about a conflict with the disc emulator software, and that i should contact SecuRom (they are the anti-piracy software !)

I have now recieved feedback from SecurRom after iwas told i needed to 'Launch Analysis' on the DVD (by right clicking) This produces a file which they need to analyse.

After sending this to them i got a reply saying that i was using a copied disc and i should use the original instead ??!! So i have written back to say that i WAS using an original disc, and did that mean that DABS had sent me a copied disc ?!!

I would be intrested to hear if anyone has had similar problems and what the outcome was, OR if anyone had any ideas as to what the problem is ?!

Yup, tried that ! And most of the other methods that have been mentioned before ! Thansk anyway !

I think the problem is more the fact that for some reason it thinks its a copied disc and therefore wont run ! As even the Anti Piracy software guy thought i was using a copied disc after looking at the analysis i sent him !!

Sounds like your DVD drive is a problem. Maybe it is possible to get drivers for your dvd drive? If not then you may have to buy a new one I'm afraid :-/

BUT the DVD drive is brand new, and hasnt had any other problems, just when trying to play this game !

Check my DVD->CD thread. In there it will mention a place to get a new exe that doesnt have the copy protection.

This is a common issue with SecureRom and older CD/DVD Drives. I would contact Konami with your system specs and let them know that you are having an issue with SecureRom.

Thanks CtrlAltDel,

I will try your method this evening and let you know how i get on.

I am currently in contact with the support at SecuRom, as they are the ones that thought i was using a copied disc !! I will post their reply when they get back to me (they have been good so far !)

Your solution worked a treat, although i would have rather had the disc work !
Have had a quick game and it is brilliant !

Hopefully i will get given a new disc in the future which works !!
