Hi

I am getting a bit annoyed / frustrated at the moment as I have played all PES versions and PES3 seems to have a sligh bug. I play my mate A LOT at PES3 and he always kicks my butt. I play as Brazil and he plays as France and whenever he has a corner he may as well have a penalty kick as he scores virtually every time (grrrr!!). Has anybody else experienced this and does anybody have any tips on defending? I have now started playing as Holland and they seem to be a little better equipped to defend corners but not so good at going forward.

Apart from this glitch I think it is the best version yet.

What exactly is the problem? Could you elaborate a little more?
Is he scoring directly from the corners or is it more of his placement, which usually leads onto a header/half-volley etc. ?

If it is the latter, I can familiarise as one of my mates used to do something similar by placing Stam on the edge of the 8-yard box, and whenever the ball came in as his angle, Stam would smack it in with a swooping header leaving no chance for my GK to save it, or even get a fell of the ball. No gameplan is perfect however so I soon remedied the problem. :)
I found that by bringing out your GK (pressing /\) just as the ball is curling in, you can often close down the area the headerer will have to position his head making it more likely for you to save the shot. Since then, I've used this method several times and it ususally prevails.

Sweet - I will try the magic triangle trick you recommended. He usually scores direct from a corner (with a header mostly) and it's a real pain as I feel I have no way of defending this. Holland seem to have more defenders who are willing to stick their head in and get the ball out thus he seems to score from fewer corners. I was wandering whether or not there was a way to set up your defence in the options whereby you could man mark from corners etc as it seems to be mostly Silvestre or Henry who get their nut on the ball (mostly!).

yup me too

more then half of my goals used to come from corners

what ive taken to doing now is taking the corner short and passing back to the halfway line before coming forward again

it ruins the game :(

i can score EVERY time

(with me its always ferdinand for england)

i did an international half season and he was top scorer at the end
