I was wondering how people set out their defence to be most effective.
It seems 4 at the back is the most effective way to defend but is it better to have them far up the pitch to squeeze the play when the opposition has the ball or set them deep so its harder to get the ball in behind them but easier for their strikers to recieve the ball?
Also things like the back line and offside settings (A, B or C) to try and catch the opponent offside or push them up more?
One last thing. Is it best to place a DM very deep so hes pratically a centre back or to give a bit of room between the two?
