That time of year again.

Lots of rumours will finally be revealed or will remain rumours.

One going round today is that a "big third party" xbox one exclusive will be revealed. Apparently coming from Platinum Games.

If you're a Nintendo fan then e3 is rarely overrated. I'm really looking forward to seeing zelda and x from Nintendo and anything else they show.

With regards to the rest I'm basing my console purchase on whoever impresses me the most. Currently leaning towards Microsoft. Hoping for halo and some surprises off them and the last guardian off sony.

With third parties I want Sega to drop bombs with shenmue hd collection and maybe skies of arcadia hd. Id love to see a spirutual successor to okami from platinum and seeing as they're apparently prepping an xbone exclusive and ms are pressing for more japanese games im keeping my fingers crossed for something like this.

Possibly the worst kept secret of this upcoming E3, I suspect MS will kick off their conference with this news.

Master Chief is getting a facelift with an HD collection of his exploits. We've learned that Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4 are being collected in a Master Chief-focused HD remaster coming from Microsoft. Our sources say that the set will zero in on Halo's most famous soldier to refresh audience's memories ahead of Halo 5's release, so curiosities like Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach likely won't be a part of the package. The game's developer is unknown at this point, but considering that Saber Interactive handled Combat Evolved Anniversary and is also working on an unannounced Xbox One project, the team is a likely suspect. Also unclear are plans for digital distribution, resolution and frame-rate (Microsoft bragged that will run at the next Halo will run at a "blistering" 60fps), piecemeal releases, or if the games will surface on other platforms as well (PC, anyone?).

The only source is that endgadget story. Nothing has corroborated it and everyone is just linking back to it. It's probably real but definitely not a given.

I'd definitely like it though.

Was always intrigued by the sound of an open world racing game. SUrprised a first party game is cross-gen though.

A separate studio is working on the 360 version apparently. It will probably be the same gameplay mechanics as Forza 5, so no much to worry about. Not that I play racing games anyway.

Yeah just read that on neogaf, either way you'd have thought they'd make it exclusive to try and get people to buy an xbox one for it.

BF Hardline BETA coming to PS4 after E3, although it's rumoured you have to attend to get a code. I'm sure they'll open it a couple weeks after though.

So today is the day, expecting some big stuff from MS! From Sony I expect we'll see some Destiny stuff and probably a new Uncharted 4 trailer along with a Last Of Us Remaster release date.

Third-party: Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, Dishonored 2 (trailer), Batman: Arkham Knight, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain

Sony
Exclusives: Uncharted 4 (trailer), The Last of Us Remastered (trailer), Beasts' Souls, some Morpheus bollocks, Deep Down, The Order 1886, Drive Club
Third-party: Destiny, new Square Enix game (e.g. Deus Ex), NBA 2k15, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (+ re-release announcement of 1 & 2), GTA 5 next-gen announced

EA

The MGS5: Phantom Pain leaked and apparently it's awesome, keeps getting taken down from youtube for now though.

Microsoft

Really need to grab mindshare at this E3. PS4 has so much momentum, is the cheaper and more powerful machine, and everything just looks to be going right for Sony. MS need to drop some big third party exclusives, even if it's just timed for 6/12 months.

I could see them getting another EA exclusive out of the deal with EA for Titanfall (where MS part funded it) so maybe a new Dead Space or Mirrors Edge 2. I also expect at least 1 BIG Japanese exclusive (outside of the one by Platinum)

Sony

Everything is going swimmingly for Sony. But the fact is (for me) there is absolutely no compelling exclusive software released or coming in the next 12 months. They need to announce some big first party stuff here as at present they only have The Order, Drive CLub and Uncharted 4 as dead certs for the next year.

If The Last Guardian isn't shown then they can go fuck themselves.

Nintendo

Nintendo just need to announce a proper 3D Zelda devoid of major touch screen gamepad use and have it look tits and they'll win E3 for me. However, with nearly 80 hours of gaming time in to Xenoblade I really think X may well be my most anticipated titles, cannot wait to see more of it.

I also envisage another "betrayalton" reveal which will break the internet.

If Metroid isn't shown and Retro announce another DK game then Nintendo can suck it.
