Editing with an Apple Mac

I work on an Apple Mac - G4 and have Adaptec Toast but I was wondering whether anyone knew a program that could create an image of the game so that I can patch it. I have copied the game onto my desktop but when I try to create a disk image in Toast it keeps saying via PPF-0-matic that it is not the right size file. I don't have OSX by the way just 9.1
Please help.
