Past 2/3 days, I've changed my controller settings quite a lot and it's all Manual apart from shooting and passing which is on Semi. I like it more I think it's more enjoyable, challenging and rewarding. Not so good when you're up against some person who has it on all Assisted and therefore thrashes.

I'm not too bothered now as long as I play good football.

Because of all the all-assisted people doing Quick Ranked, I'm now doing Quick Unranked matches until I get the hang of it fully.

I find through passing to be pretty solid and awkward when on Manual, it's too easy when on Assisted mind. I think I'm getting the hang of it, slowly but surely lol.

How many people play this game, with all Manual?

I like this Fifa very very much. I wonder if they'll make it any different to 09, any big changes/additions. Some more leagues & clubs to choose from and I'd be chuffed.

National teams like Wales, licensed Netherlands, Russia etc. are needed.

Yea it would be nice to see some more national teams as there is a lack of them in fifa 09, its about time they add some russian teams though..dunno why but they never seem to be in football games.

I want more atmosphere and faster responses from the players and more depth in the manager mode and for them to fix like all the little things in the game and the manager mode such as about 90/10 games are played during the day.

I've been seriously thinking about purchasing this game. Few questions though.
-Is there rain or overcast weather type?
-In manager mode, is it still like fifa 08 where its always day or always night?
-Is the table realistic in Manager mode. Ex.(Top four) (WBA in relegation)

Manager Mode has static weather (whatever your last Exhibiton game was set to). I believe rain itself was taken out and the options are sunshine, overcast or dusk. That's your first two sorted.

Transfers in Manager Mode are still crazy (Inter had Ibrahimovic, Maicon, Santon and another player on the transfer list at one time having already sold another big player and this was in season 2).

In my first season with Milan, Inter contrived to finish seventh.

I just completed a season with Bayern and to be fair the final league table looked pretty realistic, from the sound of things though this is something ea will be working on for the next game.

It's not so much the final table looking wrong most of the time, but the fact that you get ridiculous scores like Man Utd 2-4 Stoke, Chelsea 0-4 Wigan, Liverpool 1-4 Sunderland ...etc. - I know the EPL is a league of strange results, but they happen far to frequently and unrealisticly in FIFA at the moment.

I'm not sure about this year's PES, but they always used to have AI scores between teams in the Master League pretty much spot on.

I've just finished my first season with blues.


Won the league, with sheffield united and derby getting promoted. Charlton, southampton and wolves were relegated. I loll'ed.

I also won the F.A cup and the community shield. I'm playing on world class, and beings as this is my first Fifa, i'd say that was pretty good going.

Its not like I had easy runs in the cup either, before anyone questions my awesomeness. I had to beat Chelsea, tottenham and some other premier league team (Might've been blackburn) to get to the final, which was against Sheffield united. Also I beat Liverpool for the community shield.

In the mid-season transfer window I managed to snap up MG Pedersen and Joey Barton.

I'm playing Barton and Carsley in CM together, so maybe the other teams have been shitting themselves :erm:

How many people play this game, with all Manual?

I've played a season in the danish league, where I started with all manual but on the lowest difficulty-level. I quickly changed to "pro" level with everything set on manual, except passing and shooting - which was on semi. When I won the league I then started my first ever Manager mode (or what it's called…) with Arsenal, with the same Manual/semi setting on Pro-level. The other day I felt comfortable enough to start trying out the manual passing again, everytime I got one goal ahead. Now I play with manual passing also all the time - but still with Semi shooting. I can't hit a house from 2 yards with manual shooting!!?!? :blush:
I love the feeling with manual passing, and hardly ever use the through pass-buttom - unless i need a lofted through pass. But I still make a "whole lot" of bad passes - but now I can feel when I'm making a bad pass, as soom as I hit the buttom - so I'm getting the feel and hang of it!!
A good way to start off trying out manual passing, is to set your tactic to short passing in the build-up phase - that helps a whole lot, since your teammates seek the ballcarrier for a pass.

I hardly ever play online - I get totally confused in the lobby!!?! (The disadvantage of getting "old"!) - But once I noticed that if you want to play with manual settings, then EVERYTHING has to be on manual. It would be nice, with everything on manual and shooting on Semi though…

Yeah same here dude. Manual is the way to do it. All manual feels brilliant when using Arsenal.

Well I finally got the game. All I can say is that I have been missing out on alot.

I've stumbled upon a problem however. I can't seem to update the squads so that they show up correctly on Exhibition mode. EX.(Keane is at Liverpool)

Anyone know how to help?

You're gonna get booked for double posting.

Is your PS3/360 connected to the internet? You have to use the code given in the back of the manual to register to the Adidas Live Season.

If you've already done that, and it doesn't work, I don't know what the problem is.

Also try going into a quick ranked match and it may ask you to download the latest squad file for online play? Then that may get your offline sorted. Not sure mind, mine have always worked.

Actually i've had the same problem.

I've updated the squads by going into a ranked game, because the squads appear correct eg Bowyer and Bouazza at blues, but offline they're the old squads, eg Keane at liverpool.

I just thought Fifa were slow with updating the teams...
