a friend of myne and i were debating what game will be better pes3 of fifa 2004 the only thing that outdoes pes is probably the online play capabilitys and the football fusion mode which lets you transfer alll your teams data from total club manager and play matches with all that data! imagine that wit pes and championship manager 4

I think we don't need to discuss which game will be better. Not again.

I don't think that PES 3 need a football fusion mode.It does not have an advantage. It's for nothing good for.

Firstly, with the use of updated option files, you really can make your WE/PES game much more accurate. Formations, transfers and certain stats (under-rated/over-rated) for some players are all changed to suit their current state. These X-Port option files can be found here:-

www.showusmiracle.com/downloads.asp/

There actually is a CM4ToWE7 (not to mention, one for FE too) editor available which, as you can imagine, edits the CM4 player stas to WE7 form. I haven't tried it out myself, so can't trust it's reliability but I've heard mixed opinions. You can get it here:-

http://ibelgique.ifrance.com/Tam-da-rasta-man/CM4toWE7SC.msi

Note: If you don't have '.NET framework', you can't run this. To check if you have it, click on the Start on your Windows desktop, selecting Control Panel, and then double-clicking the Add or Remove Programs icon. When that window appears, scroll through the list of applications. If you see Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 listed, the latest version is already installed and you do not need to install it again. If you don't have it, you can get it from Windows Update

On PES3 vs. FIFA 2004, I'll agree and say that online play is most likely the only thing FIFA 2004 has going for it. Other then that, it should be like most other FIFA offerings, with some general improvements. I'll approach it with an open mind, however, and only hope other FIFA incarnations can reach WE level. Competition is very healthy and could force Konami to get off their butts and give us even better titles. They've been procastinating with licensed kits for some time now, so that could be the vital push.

There are some people thinking that someone will be able to hack the PC version of PES3 and make it playable online if the option doesn't come as default. Any optinions on this?

Oh and.... PES rules!

I heard the same on our forum (this one which is in the signature), that there are already a lot of games without an online mode by default, the online mode was added by hackers. Wait some minutes and if I find I can post these games here as an evidence.

Oh and.... PES/WE rules :D
Edit: For the moment I found only GTA 3 and GTA VC with an hacked online mode, but this shows us that it's possible, and I'm also thinking that you can patch PES3 on PC for 100%

I've heard about and sampled the online mod of GTAVC. It's definitely promising albeit having some bugs but that's inevitable with first releases. The archdolts that use trainers in game are the real losers though. Just ruins it for everyone else.

Deep silence follows PP's request.........

Someone should check out a fifa forum and see what the fan-boys think of it. Then post the link for the rest of us.

FIFA rocks my world...

I was checking out the Soccer Gaming forums and came across this link:-

Apparently, being the awesome game that FIFA is, this year's incarnation will not include any weather affects. That's right. NO WEATHER EFFECTS

"at least I would rather buy a game called FIFA Football than Pro Evolution Soccer."

Jesus, you buy a game for it's name? Just sums up some FIFA fans idiocy and ignorance, to me.

You'll find a host of other dumbass quotes in there, check it out for a laugh. :)

That's very amusing. Thanks for that.

Let's go for it....

"Get PES3 - It has RAIN in it!!!"
:D LOL :D

EDIT-
Holy crap! Someone said:

"Rather no weather than no gameplay."

:D :D :D

."..while PES sounds like it's some tryout by some small Japanese noname company. Although I'm not dissing Konami by any means  "

Yes, a company that produces such unknown hits as Metal Gear Solid and Castlevania isn't revered one bit, is it?

Some of this 'hollowi' guy's stuff is priceless. Just priceless.

At least some of them are considering PES3, if only for the weather!

I like this line:
"People are becoming so picky and their inside communist hates the idea of buying a piece of crap with license instead of an unlicensed diamond." :)

"i just wish they do patches in the future, i mean we still can't head in fifa2003 "

And I think I explained the economical bit well enough. No-one likes spending hours and hours in renaming the players, teams and stadiums, which they have to do in PES. So if PES and FIFA are equal, I think quite many will choose FIFA.

Most people I know enjoy editing by themselves to set everything to their personal preference.

And anyway, if you're not up to it: option files.

"i hope konami really force the EA FIFA development team to really THINK and WORK for fifa 2005"

They've been trying to do that for 5 years. :D

What about the lack of weather?
The big heads?

Psssst, hey, Zy, can ya keep a secret ?

I know from credibe sources that FIFA 2004 is played on another planet, probably Mars or something like that, and there are simply no weather effects on Mars, and the heads look bigger because there is another kind of oxygen than on earth. But no word to anyone, ok?

There's some right muppets on that forum

Sounds like discontent between FIFA fans as to whether they are going to be shafted again with another rushed, license-heavy, gameplay-free edition of FIFA.

Also check out the preview videos for FIFA2004. How many corporate 'buzzwords' can you fit into one small trailer. How much does some suit get payed to think up names like 'Organic Animation Engine (tm)' for their new player animation generator? The video was bordering on the ridiculous, more like a business plan than a game preview.

I found the fifa trailer movie quite amusing also.
But I didn't hear any mention of 'dynamic organic animated superfluous weather system'.
;)
