I'd like to request that, if there's a second one, everyone has to play as Serie C side San Marino. I don't think they're able to attract anyone of any quality.

Well I think its safe to say Sunderland are the team now. I can't see too many other people randomly joining now either. Maybe we should start to clarify the rule, assuming the team is Sunderland.

This is just a little jot down of the rules, feel free to disagree or suggest a different system or whatever and it can be changed, but here it is:

So we are bascially cracking on with a league for Sunderland and seeing how far we get from when it finishes in a weeks time tommorow.

Club: Sunderland
League: Premiership Only - Full Detail

Options (lower on the screen with the ticked boxes):

- Game start = (July 2005)
- Large Database size
- No other nations selected
- No attribue masking
- Use real players

That sound ok?

.

Shouldn't the rule be that we only play one full season?

Else if someone gets into season three and someone else finishes one season, how do you pick the winner? If someone wants to go beyond season one that's fine, but it shouldn't count towards the competition.

We probably will only play 1 season.

Yeah, sorry that was what I meant.

Well I doubt very much people will get the same position in the Premiership and reach the same place in the cup runs etc. If that happens, which I'm 99% sure it won't, I guess we'll judge it on how many points won in the league. By the way its not a big deal who wins anyway, just a little challenge like. ;)

Are we doing it by league position or by points accumulated? One person could get 60 points and finish...sixth and the other get 59 and finish fourth.

Good point.

Hmmm... what do you lot think? League position or by points accumulated?

I think points as we're playing the same teams home and away.

Otherwise we're depending on how consistent everyone else is.

Plus we'll also take into account how far someone got in the cup competitions. I'm sure we can do a poll at the end for who we think the winner is if its close between two or three people.

I say league positions. I don't really care how many points i get in a season, just as long as i get a respectible league position.

I think we should do it by points, and every cup round you get passed you add on a point. What do you think?

IF we did it by points, each cup round would be worth more than a single point.

The only reason I say points is because, although it is unlikely to happen, we could have a winner who won both cups and got 50 points but, because of some ridiculous number of draws by other teams, finished third whilst someone else won both cups and got 60 points but finished fifth because in their game, four teams dominated due to crippling injuries to other teams or such.

I'll go with the flow though.

how about we do it by points and every cup round the points you get bigger e.g.
If you get to round 2, you get 1 point
round 3 = 2
Round 4 = 3
Round 5 = 4 etc.
and if you win you get 10

That's not a bad idea, but maybe like this.

First round - 3
Second round - 6
Third round - 9

et, etc. Like 3 points for a win, then since your getting further your getting 3 points added each time to what you used to have.

Yeah that sounds better, it was just a quick idea for people to work om :)
