Formation nightmare!

Has anyone else noticed this? I happily went through all the premiership squads and updated the starting 11's so they were correct. Then i went to start a league, the premiership, and much to my horror the com had restored all the formations back to default. I've gone back and stocked all the formations but this doesn't solve the problem as you can only load them for the team you play as and not opponent teams. Any ideas anyone?
This will become more of an issue come january when new transfers wont make the starting line ups of any team. Imagine chelsea splash out £50million on schevchenko and he wont even be in their team.

Yepp, it bugs me too. Have posted this issue around, but no replies. Seems no-one cares

For me, it really destroyed much of the game as english league is what i regularly play. If anyone has any workarounds I would be thrilled!

the com uses squad rotation system in leagues anyway and automaticly picks the players suited best for that game at that time so you will see those new transfers

And it's not that no one cares it's just they probably already know of the rotation system and new com intelligence.
get yourself a copy of the pes5 guide it will help you alot.

yeah it does get quite annoying if you see a team in an important match with key players missing:innocent:

I'm not sure about Pes5 but in Pes4 if u play league the com will never mess with a formation pre-match unless a player is injured or suspended. Master league is a different story cuz the com will auto choose the right formation and allow all their new key players to play.

Here's what u do if u enjoy playing leagues and not master league.
Go to Edit->Register Player
Lets say u wanna put Owen into the starting lineup for Newcastle. Click on Ameobi and register him to Pes or We United. The game will auto pick the next best player for that position. So Owen will replace Ameobi. Now go back to Pes or We United and register Ameobi back into Newcastle. This is also how u create a team's pecking order during a league. When the com plays another com, they'll use the next Striker on the list as the sub, injury replacement, etc.

Sometimes u have to change a players position to make a change. Lets say u want a SMF to be the starting SB. U have to make the SMF default position as SB then do the register trick above. Once u got the SMF in the right place, u can change his position back to SMF if u like.

Remember that the Register lists follows the team's formation so use edit formation to see how the teams formations are and no if u change a team's formation the Register list still follows the default formation.

It`s specially noticable if you play let`s say Konami cup, with home-away feature. So, it has (probbably) a lot to do with player`s fatigue. As I`m concerned, about Schevchenko, he doesn`t even appear in the Milan team untill last 5 minutes, but that doesn`t stop Vieri (which, to be honnest doesn`t play at all in real life) scoring 3 or 4 against me!!! (inter Milan)
Try konami Cup, and you will see! All about fatigue... (again probbably)

I Would concentrate on your own team - I played Newcastle and they had Ameobi and Luque up front so they do rotate quite a bit - I was frustrated alittle cos I badly wanted to Elbow Shearer with someone!! lol

Yeah I know what you mean there is certain things that bug you, I have to do all the recent transfers all the Kit sponsors,correct kits & team names before I can get into the game where as when I go and play on the Brother-in-Laws he had Solano at Villa and Luque not at Newcastle that just ticks me off.

Not quite sure what u mean but on default Scholes is cmf, Rooney amf, and C.Ronaldo lwf. Not sure how urs became like that, u playing master league?

Sorry ive not explained it right. I changed the default formation from 4-1-2-3 to 4-1-3-2 with Scholes as AMF, Giggs as LMF and Ronaldo as RMF, Ronney up front (SS) with Van Nistelrooy.

But when i come to play a league the formation stays the same but the player positions have changed i.e. Scholes is now RMF, Rooney is AMF, Giggs is now up front (SS) and Ronaldo is now LMF

Leagues don't allow u to tinker so much with formation, silly I know. Can tinker all u want in Master League but league is so static.

One way to fix it is to switch back to default and use Edit Position. Bring Scholes and Rooney forward and change their roles, and bring Ronaldo and Giggs back. This way the order on the Register List stays the same.

If u don't wanna do that here's the much more complicated way to keep ur formation. Register Ronaldo to any club but remember where u register him to. Register him back to Utd and change his favoured position to CMF. Register Scholes out and they'll pick the next CMF. They don't pick his position (RMF) but his favoured postion (CMF). Do this until Ronaldo gets in there. Bring Scholes back in, change him to SS and take Rooney out, Scholes will replace him. Get the idea m8? Don't forget to change their favoured positions back to normal once ur done.
