Free Kicks are pretty easy for me :p

2 goals ive scored:
Becks FK
Becks FK vs Mexico

I usually set the power just over halfway on the bar.

When your close in like those in the vid, hold DOWN then just as your kicking it move DIAGNAL DOWN, LEFT OR RIGHt to add curl.

When your a bit furter out just press LEFT or RIGHT to add curl..I sometimes hold R1 as well.

And when your about 35+ metres out hold UP and R1 then curl it.

if your beckham and u usually take um with sum1 else you'll find it hard with beckham cause he takes freekicks completly diff to every1.

if your about 18-23 yards then u press (bottom arrow key) and and put just over half in tha meter. This will loop the ball in.

if your 23-26 yards then u postion yourself where u want it; then u just press the shoot button up to about half way and try puttin a curl in there. Get the meter to go just a (LITTLE) over half and u should be able to score. This will be a standard type of freekick.

if your 26-35 yards then u postion yourself so that your lookin straght at where your aiming. Then u press (top arrow button) and put 3/4 or more on the meter. Make sure u dont take it all the way though! This shot will be VERY powerful and straight, it is brillinat to do long passes from the half way line to another team m8. For such a powerfull shot it has great ACCURACY. It without a dought is tha hardest to score from the 3. But this is the easiset way to score from reall long ranges!!

Ive scored many freekicks using these technics..... and it works!!

Does anyone try to put it in the side the keeper is standing at? i've had a bit of luck trying this when the ball is just outside the box. Another favourite is to hold down and put the (o) button full power so it goes under the wall. The reaction on my mates face when it went in was priceless.

this can work with close range free kicks. I've tried this a lot of times(sometimes worked some didn't) you need a player with high free kick level but also with great shoot power. (R. Carlos maybe). if this works tha ball will go in throught the keepers arms. (you have to push up d-pad or analog stick and up to middle the bar)

Yeah. I can't even get it over the wall! Any tips on getting it over the wall, but dipping under the crossbar? I don't understand this trajectory stuff in the manual.

when your close up u press (down arrorw key) and let the meter go just over half way. This should lob the ball and it should loop in

Right, so down to loop it in, and up to hit it more straighter yeah?

But how do you then add curl/aftertouch? from the down/up position do you then have to the d-pad left/right when the balls moving?

Also, R1 and R2 do what? R2 keeps the ball higher, and R1 keeps it straight, just like up and down? or is there a difference?

What i'm trying to do is float in my free kicks with a lot of swerve. So i'm wondering when i press down, should i also be pressing R2, and the left./right?

use the analog when you hold down. This will make your ball float REALLY slowly in the air--almost impossible to score though eh
