Now available reconditioned PS2 with Messiah 2 chip fitted priced at £160. These machines have been refurbished by Sony and are as new. They are sold with 12 month warranty. I still have a few brand new machines with chip fitted at £200, but these units are every bit as good. They come with a dual shock controller and leads normally supplied with a new machine. Limited stock available.

I'm not sure what exactly is the difference between the £160 and £200 PS2s except that the £200 ones are brand new.
£160 is a great price but there is limited stock.
Sounds like a good deal to me.

I got mine here a few months ago and have not had any problems with it at all.

yeah thats a good deal for people who cant aint got a chipped ps2 already. I;ll bookmark it and sent it to a few people. Its is a good deal.

well it costs peanuts (below 30 quid) to buy a chip but you have to install it yourself. Some people or services offer to take your ps2 away and mod it for you for about 100 quid.

A bit of soldering is all it is. But a mistake can be very costly, resulting in a dead PS2. So doing it yourself is probably not worth the risk unless you are skilled with a soldering iron.

thats almost 80 quid labour charge. The chip is only 20 quid. Thats a whole feisty profit they recieve.

It's cheaper if you take your PS2 to them, £99 is including the courier delivery. But it is in Glasgow so....

thebarras prices are some of the cheapest I've found around. If anyone else can find a pre-chipped PS2 cheaper than the prices above for similar conditions, please post them here.

Alternatively, you could cut out the labour charge by buying a chip and a soldering iron and getting your gloves on! Good luck!
