Just experienced this:
pass assist on 2 bars: You can place your shots, but some shots will still go directly towards the keeper
pass assist on 1 bar: it will be harder to pass, but it will give more satisfaction when you give a nice pass without assistence. You will be able to fully place your shots.
Somehow pass assist is linked to placing shots. Dont ask me why, but I just figured it out.
