Hi guys ,
Im playin PES3 on PC and unfortunately i dont have a joypad and still using sh*tty keyboard :( , Anywwayz i tend to play down the wing and the majority of the time i put crosses in the comp heads it out. I know there is a button to take control of the player in the as soon as the ball has been released, also is there any button to make a player get in a better pos'n for a header/volley?

Thnx in advance

You really should buy a control pad...

I've got a Thrustmaster something or other, almost identical to a PS2 pad just slightly bigger and with 2 extra buttons on the back.

i know i will get it soon but can u pls tell me what buttons (R1, R2, etc etc ?) i actually need to press to control my striker when a cross comes in / get in the best position for a header volley? come on guess for a bunch of self confessed PES addicts im not getting much help.

well you can never plan whats going to happen... what i usually do is go down the flank and usually a defender will be on me like white on rice. either try to shake him off, or do a sprint and quickly change directions. while open, cross the ball. usually i try to give it a little curl, but all you can do is hope for the best...

i also fnid that crossing the ball on the breakaway is more effective and usually gets your players in good position because the opponents dont have proper time to get in position.

Also, don't do the same type of cross the whole time. put some in high, then low and some mid-height. different defenders deal with some crosses worse than others, and the variance makes them look like Man Utd's defence (shite)

Isnt is press once for far post, double for near and triple for low cross? Which is the most effective?

Depends on the situation and positioning really. Also there is :L1:+:circle: which is quite good in long crosses but generally to get it about the centre spot

Also, I find it better, if your wf/smf has just ran down the flank, to cross just after running past the 18 yd box, rather than crossing from nearer the goal line. I certainly tend to get more spectacular results- like the odd overhead- when doing that.

in my opinion the most effective crosses are those on the edge of the area...but if you're in a counter attack situation it's best if you cross from deep with :L1: :circle: .....it's really effective!!!!
i'm particularly proud with the way i cross cus i can really aim to where i want....and then all you have to do is to position your striker with R2 in a favourable position....either to volley or to head the ball....piece of cake :D
