Haven't you noticed a lot of people on here talk about the x-port? It's the best way to keep all your saves by whacking them on your computer. Saves a lot of time deciding which goals to keep and which to delete.

'properly'?? What the hell are you on about?
Do you even know what X-Port is or does?

Yes sorry m8 i know what it is it's were u can import pes saves on to computer and edit them and put proper kits and stuff.

sorry i didn't mean 2 sound bad

i just wouldn't want 2 mess with my pes2 thats all
i would sooner play a pes that i have edited my self in the edit mode rather than getting updated stuff from my computer.

anyway when pes gets official licenses like fifa it will be more exting having not experianced it before.

no dis-respect intended on x-port users

You don't actually know what X-Port does so maybe you should read the X-Port thread to find out before making assumptions.

PES won't be getting official licences like fifa. Only a small number of clubs will be correct.

If using a USB connection is 'messing' up your PS2, then stay away from X-Port.

Sounds silly to me but how can a USB connection wreck your PS2?

Even with a full license it will always be behind to a patched game. The PES series sells well so konami see no need to invest a lot of money in licenses.

With x-port files you can import but you don't edit them, well that's not entirely true but I don't want to confuse you.

i didn't say it would mess up may ps2

it's just too much messing about

and are you seriously saying that pes will never have the licenses fifa has

Surley it will

Maybee pes6 lol

and even though pes sells well fifa still outsells it

people judge a book by its cover and lets look at fifa compared to pes thats why they buy it

it needs licenses to beat fifa once and for all
its still better but if it had licences more people will get into pes than fifa.

PES outsells FIFA so theirs no need to invest currently into licesnes is their?

fifa sells more than pes for a few reasons.
If Konami bought the necessary rights, they might be able to compete but it looks like they won't be coughing up for more than a few of the rights needed.

But they know that people can patch the games themselves to make better kits, balls and ad-boards than both Konami and EA put together so.....

but the majority of pes buyers don't use x-port

but i think we are all agreed that the day pes starts getting some official licenses it will be a good day 4 all us pes lovers!

OK you really need to seperate patching and x-port files....

Patching is modifying the game directly to a cdr, you can change everything about the game. So whenever you see patch it should be associated with burning on to a cdr or dvdr.

X-port, mearly a backup tool. You transport your files to your pc for STORAGE. you can also send your friends the files so they have the exact same file as you. The kind of info that is saved is any changes made with the in-game editors. nothing more, nothing less.

Licenses would be good overall, but I can't imagine the type of crowd it will be attracting. All the newbie questions would start up again.

sorry i have read it now

it's were u connect ur ps2 to ur pc using a usb port so u can manage your saves on your pc and u can download option files

Yep. Keeping all your goal files saved on your PC is the key. Plus downloading goals and option files.

So what do you think of the whole X-Port idea now?

its quite good actually

but i probably woudn't use it for patches though can u download editors to edit ur option file?

I have to add that you cannot watch your replays on the PC when you transfer it with your X-Port from the PS2. The replays are in x-port-file-format. If you want to watch them again you have to transfer them again from PC to PS2 via X-Port.
