I'm a complete newbie to the Pro Evo series and I messed up! I overspent on players... I know... but I didn't realise how stringent the rules were applied in this game!

Anyway, between my last save and the game ending and telling me to reload or return to the top menu, I can play two games, so is there a way I can increase the base/bonus points ? I need an additional 432 points on top of the 2900 points I get from the two games...

Or is there another way I can earn points to save my ML career? I want to avoid restarting the game as I spent a while creating my own team!

Thanks in advance...

Only 432? You can sell someone in the negotiation period after the season ends and before the new one begins. If no one wants to buy your players, you can release a couple of your best players (yes, I know). Perhaps you'll get lucky and the amount paid as compensation will be lower than the player's salary, reducing your debt. Be careful.

I can't get back to the season end to drop anyone or sell anyone! I had it on auto-save, which i know know to be my initial mistake! Is there no way of increasing the base/bonus points earned per match, by keeping clean sheets, scoring ten goals, playing in different stadiums, commiting no fouls.... anything!!!

I thought you said you had two games left?...and 432 can be earned within two games.

Like what PacMan said, if you have yet to reach the final week of your season calender, you would be able to release a few contracts or sell some players in the negotiation periods.
If you have already reached the final week of the season, then there is nothing else you can do but to start over.

Keep in mind that you should always keep your money above the salary payment. Even if you let it drop below the salary mark, you have to be certain that you can earn more than enough to make up for it by the end of season.
And always save a backup file or two at the start or mid-point of the season (or whenever your funds are safe).

If the negotiation period has finished and you can't afford player wages then it's game over for you buddy. It's a lessons we've all learned one time or another, Save the game before the negotiation period then turn off auto save

Sorry mate :(

Additionally, use the expected earnings screen. It'll give you an idea of where you are up to...

I've never understood that screen in my life. I just kinda do my expected earnings in my head.
If i'm going to buy a player then will he take me under budget? and will i be able to bring it back up? if no then don't buy that guy
Buy Larsson :D

Thanks to all for you replies, I think I'll start again, it's just annoying playing your very first season and for it to end in such a crap way, you should have at the very least a chance to make the money back, rather than have to guess what you can and cannot afford.

Deckz, the two games left are the start of the new season and the points i have left over after paying the player wages and from winning the two games is -432. I would have thought the bonus points you earn at the end of each match were subject to the team performance, ratrher than a generic preset figure.

Oh well.... lesson learned! Thank again all...
