I beg your pardon?
I'm not new, just sharing some thoughts.

Those magic words I love to hear. "Do you fancy a game of football mate?" To me this is like an army general ordering me to destroy and humiliate. Modesty is impossible when you have destroyed all comers, so I won't try.
Thursday night, Mcnabs birthday, his house, few friends, few intoxicants (setting the scene). I'd have put my dinner money on McNab picking AC Milan for the first game, and I'd have won it back. His own player model plays for AC, so it's usually who he picks. I selected the toon, and set up my team with me on the right of midfield, ready for my first game in a week. Thoughts of a jMz assisted Shearer hat trick deep in my mind. The game started well, and my team looks solid. But before I know it I'm 2 goals down. This happens a lot. While I'm pacing myself, saving energy, Mcnab is 100 mile an hour everywhere, and before long I notice tired legs. The comeback begins. A Robert belter and a Bellamy tap in pull me level at half time. No changes, just a stern shouting brings my team back to life and the second half is all Newcastle. When I got the ball, I just kept it, playing it back and forward creating loads of chances. His players chase me everywhere and my tactic is working. 70 mins comes and it's still 2-2. We've had a few chances each but his players are tired. I mentioned humiliation earlier. This is what followed. I scored 5 goals in the last 20 minutes, and just to rub it in, they were all beauties. I got my goal after the keeper palmed away a Bellamy chip, in the right place to tap it in from the edge of the box. A grin returned to relieve my stressed forhead and squinted eyes, I had the lead and could relax now. This is where I am most dangerous. He couldn't get the ball, and started fouling. Jap Stam went for an early bath and Shearer enjoyed the gap he had left. A beautiful team goal and a 25yd netbuster ensured the captains hat trick. He went on to play me in for my winner, chipping the keeper after a stepover double shot feint (which I had practiced in training earlier). The evening turned into morning, countless games on PES3, and I'd suffered only 2 defeats. Not bad. So we stuck Toca Race Driver 2 on and took turns through the career mode. Quality, I'd rather stay in and have a smoke and a game with my mates than go to the pub.

As far as PES3 goes I am definately a second half player, I've figured this out recently as the lads I play against tend to attack constantly and sprint just about everywhere, and their team is fucked by 50 mins. They don't realize this, and I don't tell them. I just soak it up and counter. Because I have never played the Master League less than 5*, this means I have spent lot of time defending, therefore I am well practiced at it. I know the importance of taking chances too, and doing anything in my power to try and stop the other team scoring. The type of football I play means efforts on goal are thick and fast. Every time the opposition attacks me, it results in me having an attempt on their goal, or scoring. I thought I was good before, but all the time I have spent with this game and its earlier counter-parts is really showing now. My PS2 is broken and I can't play as regular as I'd like, only when I visit my mates on a weekend. Not being able to play the game has made me better. I used to suffer jammy defeats after dominating games and just came to the conclusion I wasn't as good as I thought. But now I have ironed out those aspects of my game. I have learned a deeper side to the game, and how to use it properley. If I don't set up my team, chances are I'll struggle, but when I set it up, or know what the setup is I can use it to great effect, so my message to anyone still reading is, play every ace in your deck.

For me (and here comes the moral of the story), this is the perfect game.
I love football too much, I have an addictive personality, I am a perfectionist, and I have been a lifelong gamer. These attributes combined provide me with everything I need to be a master at this game. (sounds terrible and big headed, but it's true) Although this is not what I am all about, I have lots of other interests. By nature I am a driver, I was brought up with cars, all my family are drivers of some description from bus drivers to chauffers. My Uncle Funk, (he's called that cos he's the coolest uncle ever) taught me to drive at 14 and forced me to play racing games with full analogue and manual gears, I now worship him for this. He once even let me drive his baby, an RS500 Cosworth. Just last night I was at his house, playing on his pool table and custom built Ferrari F1 cockpit with PC simulator (Grand Prix 4). (Told you he was the coolest Uncle ever) I'm typing all this so people hopefully realize, there is a hell of a lot more to me than just PES3 and football. I come to this forum because of my passion, but stay because I like the banter, the variety and the people who use the forum. I sometimes may seem abrupt, cheeky, foul mouthed/articulate, or arrogant, but this is just because I can't project my body language and facial expressions over the net. I also don't speak like I type, I have the familiar Northern accent, southerners think I'm a geordie, but a geordie wouldn't. If you know what I mean. I type fast, I talk fast, and I am good at English. Our beatiful language. You know a bit about me now, so when you read my posts, you will hopefully have a better understanding of my inane ramblings. If you are still reading I thank you. I just hope I haven't bored you to death.

I think this forum is great, and I am here to stay.

Dude....Thats a mother ina Father of a intro. But Dundon's did enjoy the match lowdown

....Dundon's is really impressed with the passion that is being shown in young jMz's eyes and in saying that he reckons that in no less than 5-10 years we could see the upincoming jMz getting a title shot off the old Master himself.lol

P.S But if you were to become a member of dEvolution,Well.....the skies the limit for someone with such potential as yourself? ;)

I beg your pardon?
Young? Up and coming? 5-10 yrs? I wish I could show you how good I am mate. You may be surprised. I can play better than I can talk and type.... Although I do still have boyish but chiseled good looks, and clever cheeky childish humour, I no longer class myself as young. Young man, maybe. I'm 24 and I'm well travelled and lived. You could say I've burned around the block, pinched all the Tshirts, and come back for more several times over.
Young? I'm not the one with wrestlers in my sig Dundons ;)
You know it's fixed, right?

If it comes over again, I'll put a bloody knife through it.

Long time no see my trustee friend.Have you though about signing for dEvolution?

P.S I put in a good word for you with the other members and I reckon I can get you a get deal. ;)

I beg your pardon?
If I had a fucking clue what it was I may consider it after I've blocked the name out of my head. It may just be my logic, but when I see the word devolution, it just says "backwards" to me. I can't understand why you chose that name. Explain the hype, what is the craic? Do I get money? Or indeed anything real?

P.S Have you met Swain or The legend killer?

Great first post there by jMz.
Try and enter the next pesleague competition if you can. Sounds like you might make a name for yourself.

Dundons, please keep your recruitment talk to your thread in Off-Topic or in PMs.

It's not my first post mate, I just put some stuff in here that I didn't put in my first post. I'm well into this site now, and wanted to show my appreciation, along with sharing a bit more about me, just thought this would be the best place to do it. What's the Pesleague competition though, must have missed that? Do you mean a proper tournament on PES3? Up for that if it's in County Durham. I'm dying to prove myself.

I know that! I meant first post of this thread.
If I'd written "great post" some other clown would have said "which one?"

www.pesleague.co.uk and more info in the Tournaments section. There's a big tournie in Newcastle quite soon. hitman and other good players from your area will be there. Check it out here.

I beg your pardon?
Oh I getcha'. My bad.
Just been and had a look in the tournament section. Never been in before today.
Might just sign up for that. What data gets used though? is it default or what?
I type a lot like that cos I think spamming is shit, and there is a lot goes through my head in a few seconds. And once I get on a roll...... I better stop now.

Not sure what you mean by data. ?

It's too late to enter the PES3 pesleague now and the finals will be taking place in August. But keep an eye out for the new competition for PES4. Hopefully they'll have more venues around the country. And maybe in Ireland too so the dEvolution boys can show everyone what they're made of. Plus it'll save money for that dude who travelled from Ireland to Cardiff just to play his league matches!
Do go for that tournie in Newcastle though. Should be the best of the North taking part plus a few from Scotland too.

This game bring everyone together :)

jMz

I beg your pardon?
I mean option file by data, just it will most definately be different to mine. I want to get a copy so I can get used to it so I'm not sat scrolling through stats and setting my team up for half an hour when the tournament starts! Sweet as a nut though, I'll wait for an answer from the hitman. I posted in his tourn thread.

In pesleague matches no memory cards are allowed.

So yeah, default settings for everything. The kits looks shit and you have to make your formations from scratch which is a pain but at least it's a level playing field for everyone.

Great post jMz, this is what i enjoy about this forum. I absolutely love reading interesting posts like this, btw Zyg will their be a pesleague for pes4 ?

jMz

I beg your pardon?
Thanks Gunplay. (Love the name) I'm a bit of a common eccentric if there is such a thing. I love to write stories and reviews and stuff. I've always been an amateur writer, been published in a couple of mags too. I post match reports against my mates every now and again if you like reading stuff like that. Just for the banter really.

As far as I know there will be one.
I'll keep everyone posted in the tournaments section.

Yep still here. I haven't been banned, and I don't feel the need to leave the forum, as I like the majority of it's users. Even in arguments and heated discussions, most people have been very adult and inteligent in dealing with conflicts. I like a good debate and never intend to insult anyone, although I speak my mind and sometimes line myself up for the firing squad. I'm not bothered to be honest. If you have taken offence by me, you have probably misunderstood. (Unless you have wound me up and I've had a go back)
The best PES forum going, even if I rarely post about PES (I have other interests too you know!)
You're likely to see me in the dGalacticos thread, the movie quotes thread, entertainment and off topic.
So whether you love me or hate me, I'm definatlely (still) here to stay.

I've just had the lads over and had a bit of Pro Evo co-operative. After McNab and Funk said they would whip us, me and Scurrballs pulled out 12 goals in 3 games, compared to Funk and McNabs 5. An England 5-0 France walloping, a jammy AC Milan 2-1 Real Madrid defeat (wrong formation) then a Chelsea 6-4 AC Milan scorcher. In a session where we totally dominated, even in the defeat (two jammy Stam corner headers), supremacy was established. Me and Scurr have been playing football together (real and computer) for over ten years now, and we don't even speak to each other during a game. I've never had, and will probably never have a better football partner. Even in real life we are a perfect team, I'm the playmaker, he's the goal scorer. An eerie telepathic vibe goes on during games of football, a natural understanding, I know what he can do and he knows what I can do. We supply TotaalVoetball. Some of the goals we scored tonight were nothing short of stupendous (running out of superlatives here) displays of team work and supreme skill.
So if anything this post is a tribute to my mate Scurr. I'm just glad he was on my side.
