How do I play with trained up players against friends?

How do you do exactly what that title said? I wanted to play with my young team who I'd trained up, but they all came out as having their original stats, so they were poo. It even happened to Cardarson, which is weird because he's great when you buy him. I'm not sure if it happens in 1-player exhibitions but it definitely did for 2-player. Any suggestions? Cheers.

Have you saved them in your best eleven, that is a guess as i don't really know.

In ML, go to my best eleven and save the team. Then in exhibition mode, go to ML team and load ur best eleven. Easy.
