hey guys, can anyone shed some light on how to install the 1.2 patch using a USB? i have downloaded it into my pc and have extracted the files. i'm kind of new when it comes to this and would really appreciate the help from anyone. thanks!

i think this is for updating the PS3 system software,what i need is to update PES 2009 so that i could use the option files available here. if you happen to come by the answer to my dilemma please let me know. thanks!

For the PS3, you can't download a patch off a website. It automatically prompt you to download the patch after you insert the disc (provided that your PS3 is connected to the internet). If your PES 2009 is from North America, you can only download the 1.10 patch.

aw! that means i do have to connect my PS3 to the internet.. i thought i could use a USB to update.. thanks a heap man,now i know. =)

Doesn't the game data contain the game update? If you have a friend with internet access on the PS3 you could get him to create a new game data file for you to copy.

i am using a wireless connection and for some reason it cannot download the update properly. i just thought the USB would be a more reliable way to update since you don't have to stay connected to the internet. anyways,thanks guys.it's very cool of you to help us noobies out. :happy:
