Image format problem

I am trying to replace the PES demo logo, which can be found in AFS Extract under 020boot.afs/020boot.0.afs/common.x.txs. My problem is i'm using Photoshop 7, and i can't seem to save out an image with the same settings as the original image.

I think it needs to be saved as a PNG file with these settings.

colour image w/palette
bits/pixel 4
bits/colour comp 8

It also seems to use an alpha channel for transparency, does anyone know how i can save an image to the same spec's as the original, do i maybe need a different program other then photoshop.

just needs to be 8bit

we picture decoder should import it right
i created one in PS7 just like i was doing a kit and it worked fine

Well i've tried 8bit BMP and PNG but when you try to import it into WEPictureDecoder, it won't let you, it says that it's different to that of the original. Maybe you can have ago at replacing the demo logo, and see if the same happens for you. I can update kits and all other images i've tried upto now, but not the demo logo........

i made one, works fine...doesnt look great since i had to resize it too much and such, but fact is the process works

Ctrl, it doesnt matter how I save mine kit. I cant open it in WEpicdecoder.

Sorry i think i must of confused some of you by posting my tittle screen up as my sig. I mean this image, the demo logo, that shows up in the bottom left corner when left to run in demo mode.

I just can't seem to replace this image, can anyone, you can find it under 020boot.afs/020boot.0.afs/common.x.txs.

what are you trying to replace it with?
you probably need to use the same palette of 16 colours (or maybe any 16 will do)

save for web
select png-8
save

works everytime
