I was just playing the PES3 demo, as soon as i kicked off i tried to take on the whole team with owen, i got past Aimar but then veron took owen out, he went flying to the floor, and he had a red cross injury, he was picked up on a stretcher, the animation was great. i didn't know this could happen, is there any more great animations like this? Has this happened to anyone else?

I haven't seen a stretcher yet. But look out for players on a yellow injury cross as they will probably have a bandage on - usually on the leg somewhere.

There are a few extra animations during a penalty shootout, depending on whether or not you score. Beckham will place the ball on the spot.

I've seen Owen and Henry place the ball on the spot too. Seems it applies to 'star' players.

Has anyone who has played WE7 or PES3 for some time realised Owen gets injured very quickly? It seems just a little touch can have him stretchered off immediately.

It's excellent little touches like this that is one of the series' main drawing points.

I, for example, really like little details like this. it's great that players will get bandages if they get a yellow injury, and the stretcher effect, although it has been used before, should be decent enough too.

It's more amusing then decent, really. :)

The medical staff are the spitting image of each other and each of them are walking identical to each other; surreptitiously sneaking the player off the pitch as if they're about to ass-rape the poor fellow.

Tsk, tsk. When will the homoeroticness stop in PES games? ;)

Owen has gone off injured for me about 4 times but then again, I almost always play as England anyway. His injury type is B, isn't it?

I believe so. Very easily injured, though. Even a simple push from the side can take him out of the game.
