Yes, with wepicutredecoder but the exact details i dont know. But for sure its possible.

The latest version of picture decoder doesnt seem to recognize the face files which are like K001.bin..... Is there anything else that could read this file so I could edit it?

just to add...
I have managed to get the faces decoded and edit them in paint shop pro 7. problem is they do not come out properley in pes the come out like ghost faces! You start off with the image I have pasted which is in similar style to the faces in the game and then you get a ghost! I get an error about file sizes and padding with zero's when I insert the face could this be part of the problem and if so how can i solve this?

Big shame I cant read french! The guy on there has a guide it has something to do with photoshop...... Anyway according to other things on that forum I would need to find someone with the same 3D structure as me! how the heck would I find that! I also would like to have a proper looking David Seaman instead of the very strange one currently in Pro Evo 3... Any ideas guys>?

I've done quite a bit of kit editing and have seen similar stuff to what is reported above. By ghost face I assume you mean it is transparent. You need to make sure that in WEPictureDecoder after loading your edited bitmap, you go to Window --> View Transparency and play around with the settings in there (for kits I usually just click Set Opaque and guess this is all you would need to do with yours). Then save the bin file as usual and put back into the AFS.

The message about padding is because the AFS file has to remain the same size even after editing. If the new image is smaller than the original image it will automatically be padded with zeroes to make the AFS up to the correct size. This is usually always the case. If the new image happens to be larger then the original image you can use Betis --> Reduce file size to get the size down before putting back into the AFS.

The guy who said that you need to find someone with the same 3D frame probably just meant you need to make sure all of the features of the faces match up (i.e noses in same place, eyes in same place etc.) . For instance, with the kits the image I create is just a flat bitmap but parts of it get stripped out and wrapped onto certain parts of the players body (top left is front of shirt etc.) and if you happened to draw the socks pattern in the top left you would get the socks pattern on the players shirt etc. Therefore if you were to get the eyes too far to one side on your face image you may find they didn't end up on the front of the players head!

Never tried face editing but the above is certainly true of the kits. Hope it helps...

the 3d model things is certainly true, you should look at the other faces and see how they differ to your ones when they are just an image. The are the face of the player stretched out to fill the square, and then it is wrapped around the 3d model, you only need to have a texture of your chin, and you need to reach the top of the picture, just expand it, then you need to look through all the .bins find one with same eye position, nose and mouth and insert over that, and dont change the transparency, the alpha iomage is meant to be completely black with face editing.

yep correct I am currently working on that... Ash wat procedure did u use to put ur face in the game that made it crash? If u tell me ill make sure I dont do it and other users can also benefit from this experience... just to repeat my problem is i get a plain white ghost face replacing the one I put myself over the top of..
