Just a thought. You know when you have an average team and you are playing a super team and you are down 2-0... Yep...

Why not have a forfeit option? I mean at that point you know you cannot turn it around and you don't want to play anymore. OK take my points away but just let me find another opponent.

What do you guys think?

uhmm no
why can't you get back from 2-0 behind ?
you can score 2 goals within a matter of minutes.

Oh come on. You know when you are down 2-0 against Eto Messi Kaka team... mostly you will lose especially if a few of your player forms are purple. I'm just saying you know. :) Why no forfeit...

lol @ are you French.

What a loser are you to quit matches. I have had matches i lost with 7-0 but i took it as a man..

Breda, I'm just saying if you quit and say "kudos mate you are better than me" I think it would save us time to play more fun games. I love the games I play with evenly matched teams but I don't enjoy playing significantly stronger or weaker teams.

Yes you are right I would take it like a man but one time I was up 9-0 the other person did not take it like a man... (and I didn't get the points for it either.) When you got cheaters and so many super teams to play you get to enjoy about only half the games you play.

Furthermore I am on the American server and the connections of people from Peru, Honduras etc. tend to suck which is a further bummer.

I still would love a forfeit option :)

I dont know if what you suggest is the correct answer but something does need to be sorted out after my experiences over the weekend

to set the scene been playing 2011 since before xmas online and just play quick matches ive played going on 300 games I have never once quit out even being on the end of 6/7 nils and played to the end and messaged the guy that he played a good game! and apart from some lag which your always going to get and the last time there were server problems never really lost connection.

anyway so saturday played 3 games one after the other wich all genuinely lost connection on The first one i was winning so had no reason to quit and the other 2drawing! surely my track record over the months suggests i wouldnt quit yet all three i was handed 3-0 losses, lost points and had my consecutive wins reset to 0

Then sunday played again didnt lose connection at all but had 4 players quit out on me 4 times the most annoying one being a guy 2divisions higher than me better win %, beter rating and ranking so supposedly a better player, i was winning 2-0 and the stoppage time clock was counting up and stopped like it does and the next time the ball goes over half way the whistle blows at this point i was defending and i won the ball and he slid right through the back of my player to give me a free kick.
A long free kick into his half and a good win for me you would think Nope during the cut scene he quits and yes i get the 3-0 win but no points and no increase on consecutive wins.

So if your an honest player the system just seems to screw you both ways and to be honest i dont know the answers to solve this because as sugested on another forum it would be to much to take into account every disconnection and then the cause of it and then award points accordingly. been trying to come up with ideas maybe taking into account the current score line and who actually quits but then could dishonest players use this to there advantage i dont know?????

Sorry if this sounds like a rant or a moan but to experience more disconnections and quit outs in 2 nights than i have in 4 mnths of playing just left me wondering were had all the honest players gone?

The whole issue is here that Konami doesnt manage to have decent online play. They have to look how online poker is managing to have a lot of players online playing tournaments and single matches. If they have sorted that out then its easy to punish quiters.

But i dont like the idea of having an resign button. For everyone its nice to win with big number sometimes and if you do what a feeling you have if your opponent quits when its 2-0 in the first half after 10 minutes for example..

yea no 'quit button'. u ll have ppl quitting in the first half if its 2-0 or 3-0 not giving themselves a chance to compete which will lead to ppl just playing games if they are winning.
