Just got my Ps2 chipped with dms 3 chip. All I need to know is how to test if the chip has been installed correctly. I have put in a normal game and it works, does this mean it is ok.

I have no imported games or region 1 dvds to test it.

So does the fact it turns on and plays my normal games mean everything else will work? (hope that makes sense).

its a good sign that your normal games work

try and go through the procedure to turn your WE or PES game into a CD and burn and try and play off that

Tried to put my pes3 dvd to cd and patch, burnt it to cd, but it won't work on playstation.

This is probably due to the fact that I haven't patched it propally.

I have tried to put a normal dvd in my playstation but it isn't playing, do I need my memory card in for my dvds to play? I thought dvds were just meant to load, as the chip made my playstation multi-region?

Do I still need to load and install 'dvd player 2.10' that came with my playstation?

If you could help me again that would be great as I think my playstation has been Horsed!

Try loading the PES3 CD-rip without any patches applied to it and it should work.

hey mate, it maybe with normal or dvds you may have to hold the drawer button a bit longer and a dvd may boot, i have to do that with originals.

If it doesnt work, scan and rebuild sectors at that should be conclusive.

Got my Ps2 playing dvds (no one told me you have to hold down [] to boot it).
Does anybody know with the dms 3 chip, how you boot cdrs, as I have attempted patching and burning onto a cdr and when I put it in the ps2 it goes to browser menu (picture of mem card and cd) and when I click on cd it says 'Put a formatted ps2 disc in drive'.

Do I need to press and hold one of the other controller buttons to load cdrs?

Please someone help, I need to know if my patching is successful or not.

with my messiah, ur chip may be similar

to load dvds. when you turn it on, hold the reset button for a few seconds, rather than just tapping it to turn it on.
to load cdrs, press reset to turn the console on, then press reset again to load the cd-r and then leave it to load, which may take abit of time.

Thanks for your reply paddy, but dms 3 chips work differently to other chips (u need to press relevent button on the controller in order to access dvds etc)

Is there anybody in the forums that have a dms 3 chip? If so could you tell me how you load up the patched version of pes3 on it (on cdr).

Does the game just load up when you put it into the ps2.

Please answer as I only have game that I have copyed (tried without patch and just .bin file aswell) but it is not loading up. So I need to know if it is my patching and burning that is faulty or my actual machine.

So if anybody has a dms chip, Please help as it is driving me bonkers!
