Konami - DVD Suggestion

The biggest concern should have people who played imported and copied games using swap magic disks as now I would imagine that pure game with only one language will take more than 700mb of space, which would make it impossible to rip on CD.

But, lucky us who have modchips :)

The game will definitelly be bigger, better, faster (loading times), more (leagues, competitions, clubs, stadiums etc...)! ;)

since the game is now on DVD, will there be another way of patching the game??
cos if not it will means that there will be a need to invest in a dvd burner since the game now is more than 700mb...

Dun think using downloaded option files will change much rite cos i think it will only consist of changes to names, updated squad lists, and also the flag this time round...
but i dun think ad-boards, chants, jerseys can be patched using option files alone...

am i rite to say this??

Great question McSocker!

I'd also like to know as well.

One reason i'm asking is because i dont have a Xport and live in Canada where they aint sold.... still if i want to get one..i can probably buy one off the net....

however.... i'm thinking... is it worth getting when we can PATCH tings... well i dont know how yet but i'm sure i can learn? Is it worth it? since you can update rosters and other stuff with Patching PLUS stuff you can't do with option files?

thanks a lot

oh yea and i also have a DVD burner and a modchip... just not the knowledge of a computer nerd to pull this patching stuff through :(

All the patching questions can be answered by checking the sticky threads and beginners guide in the Editing section. The X-Port sticky thread explains what you can and can't do with an X-Port.

If the game does turn out to be a lot over 700MB my guess is that someone will find a way to cut something out of the game, like all the commentary or something like that to bring it down to CDR size.

X-Port is only for the transfer of memory card files between your mem card and your PC. Patching is simple enough once you check the guides and have a couple of attempts at it. And well worth the effort.
