Left or right ?

Hi all,
I am a bit confused about being left or right footed and the correct position on the pitch (I'm rather new to PES and I don't know much about the technical aspects of football... ).
So, take Maradonna, for example who is left footed and does almost never use his right foot. As a WF, where would you place him ? At the left or at the right side? To shoot, is it better to run from right to left or left to right ? Now as a OMF or SMF, and with the purpose of making accurate passes, would you make runs at the left or at the right wing ? (in real life I know Maradona liked to attack at the left wing).
Finally, where would you place him (CF, WF, OMF, SMF) ?
Thxs,
N_D
(ps: You guessed it, I like Maradona...)

I play him on the right and Kempes on the left. Crosses from the left wing are better for him to volley, I cut inside to the left when running towards goal and shoot on his left, and if I can't cut I at least try a rabona.

Thxs mate, that's actually how I'm currently playing him. Except that I usually run at the right wing then I turn back, run right to left and shoot (or pass), I found that this is quite effective...

First time I saw Maradona make "la rabona", I was astonished and I saved the goal... Di Stefano also makes some sometimes... Di Stefano and Maradona rock!
Cheers,

yeah, i like a Left Footed Striker to play on the right, cause you can cut in and shoot on his Left Foot.

Simple shots from one on ones are easier when you have the left footer on the right and the right footer on the left. If they were WF's however I would but them the other way around so that for crossing the ball it is easier.

As I play Di Stefano just behind the two strikers - Kempes on left, Maradona on right - I often use :L1: + :triangle: to do a chipped through ball for them to run on to. As Maradona can only use his left foot, if he was on the left he would hit it with his left foot and send it to the left of the goal. As he is on the right, he will hit the volley the same but it will go towards the goal. Kempes on the other hand will often use his right foot for the volley, and although not too accurate it's a damn sight better than Maradonas!

Almost same for me. Di Stefano as OMF behind the 2 CFs: Maradona on the right and Beamjohann/Rooney on the left...
