I'm still laughing at you. I think you never watched him play, I just hope you had the opportunity to watch Messi in the Champions League game at Stamford Bridge.AndyK said:Messi is not super quick... those stats are about right.

hwangeruk said:Ronaldinho no good in the middle? I wonder why Rikjard stuck him in the middle tonight against Chelsea.
hwangeruk said:Messi is unbelievable. Tonight showed that against Chelsea. He outpaced Del Horno like he wasn't there, he even outran Roben for christs sakes, you gotta be smoking crack if he isn't top ranking for speed.
hwangeruk said:Messi/Eto'o/Ronaldinho, compare that to Morientes/Crouch/Fowler/Cisse.
Drogba/Roben/Cole.
It aint rocket science is it?

I don't want to start a lenghty and painful discussion in here about Ronaldinho but how dare you even imply that he isnt a great all-round midfielder? The answer to your question is yes. You can stick him anywhere in midfield and he will intercept passes and defend decently. I have watched every Barcelona game for many years and never missed a single match and i can assure you this man is a very well rounded player. Very few players can hold the ball under pressure like he does and that is a fact. He aint no Makele, that's for sure, but neither is your beloved Rooney. Ronaldinho could perform wonderfully anywhere in midfield but using him as a DMF would not only be silly it would be an utter waste.watty1877 said:Ronaldinho is an attacking midfielder, youre confusing playing centrally in the attacking third to playing in central midfield. So, what youre telling me is... you can ask Ronaldinho to sit in the centre of midfield to win balls and defend? I think not.
Captian Marvel said:Well thats your opinion. If he was that good in real life, how come he has never won any major tophies with Roma? Surely a player of that unrivaled ability would carry a team like that to Champions League glory and likewise with Italy.

Muad'Dib said:I have started a new Master League a couple of days ago and Messi performs surprisingly well even with these seemingly low abilities and his growth rate isnt bad at all.
I didn't mean for my comment to come across as defensive or agressive in any way.watty1877 said:Well firstly, i dare, because its how i see it...
Yeah you make valid points mate, and im not denying how good Ronaldinho is. I watch a lot of Barca games myself, obviously only the ones i can get to see. So im not just talking out of my hat. Yeah i agree its a waste to play him in certain areas, but sometimes in a game, its needed. The whole thing im trying to get across, is on current form... Rooney is a better alround player. Ok, next season it might change.
And im not a crazed fan of Rooney's at all, its just my view on the subject. Im not sure why people get so butt hurt when others state their opinions.
Nope. As far as i know all players retain their default abilities in Master League.Cyclope said:True, me too I didn't change his stats, I'm in my second season and he performs so well, it's unbelievable. I changed his stats in the edit mode but the stats I changed do not reflect on my ML, maybe it's because I changed his stats after I started my ML...![]()
Ronaldo_is_fat said:Wow, did he really out ran Robben?
Messi is the man of the match in the game, and is the best attacking player to play on that lame pitch. He outshowned Robben and Joe Cole with his great control. He has the potential and environment to be a better player than Rooney in the future.
