Lobbing/chipping the keeper not as easy

Anyone seem to find that chipping the goalie when one on one is so much harder in pes5. I can't do it!! I was a master at it on pes4 but something has changed and i can't work it out,

tis true unfortanetly, but i find that if you hold back it will gain height quicker, havent scored many though, it was my main way of scoring on PES4

Yeah used to be my most effective way too but ain't had much luck. Always seem to just do a tiny little chip which goes straight into the keepers arms or blaze it over the stadium now

inside the box use r1 don't be afraid of putting the power up allmost full as this will be enough to lob the keeper.outside the box l1 this is tricky as finding the correct power level is difficult I hardley ever use the l1 lob. When using r1 make shur you hold it just after you let go of shoot if you don't this results in a great lofting shot heading to the the top of the stadium.

:R1: chip is easy and also a simple way of "fixing" your shot if you press :square: more than you should, however it's the :L1: we're talking about. I can't lob with :R1: from outside the penalty area which is a good idea when I'm changing sides in the opponent's penalty area.

Another minor note, while it isn't particularly dificult for a right foot to score with his left foot with a normal or :R2: shot, it is impossible to lob with :L1: if you use the weak foot.

I know that some experts here will say that pressing the right direction is step No. 1, but to press the right direction to set for the goal with your strong foot, charge :square: and then hold :L1: all while avoiding flying defenders makes my head explode!

I think everyone was the "master" of lobs/chips in PES4. It was too easy. You just have to practice in training to get the timing right. I'm happy it's harder (lobbing and chipping, I mean).

Yeah i agree, chipping on pes 4 was much easier and the most effective way to score. I find though that putting the spin on your shot is now the most easiest way to score (For me anyways)

Do you mean using R2 (or white buttin on Xbox) when shooting? Unfortuntely, I've got an Xbox, and those placement shots are difficult coz of the position of the buttons.

Yeah, i find its too far for the keeper to catch on first, but then it curls back towards goal. I find it the easiest way for me now.

im not as good at chipping as on PES4, but yesterday i played Robert Huth as an orthodox striker for Chelsea and scored a wonder chip :p using square and L1

I've never used r1 to chip, so r1 is more effective than l1 when the keeper is coming towards you then? True, it's better now cos it's not so easy but fact is i can't seem to do it at all which is more frustrating! Especially when you play mates and just "pass" it to the keeper when your meant to lob him

CHIP THE KEEPER AS NORMAL BUT THE SECRET IS TO HOLD R2 ASWELL!
R2 LETS UR PLAYER EYE UP WHERE HE WANTS IT TO GO,I GOT A GREAT LOB WITH SMITH FOR UNITED AT THE EDGE OF THE BOX WHICH GLIDDED INTO THE TOP CORNOR KEEPER STUCK IN NO MANS LAND.

Just mastered it; i used to just tap l1 but if you hold it a bit before and a bit after you press shoot it usually works, hold shoot for bout a second i think. Did on training so not game-proof yet

but you can't hold :R2: during the whole game! If you hold :R2: while the ball is moving (while nobody is touching it) you will become slower than your opponent.

Hold :R2: when you're passing in tight spaces or before you shoot, pass, or make turns & faints while dribbling or when you need to stop a fst ball ect....

Think of :R1: as the gas pedal and :R2: as the brakes

Stop talking with all your crappy PS2 controls mumbo jumbo. How about you use Right trigger and Left trigger :D

to lob on the xbox shoot and hold right trigger for a lob in the box and left for a lofted lob.
