Man of the Match in WE8?

Noticed that a name sometimes will appear on the left corner of the screen at the end of the game. Not sure whether that is the Man of the Match. Surprisingly, it does not appear in every game. Also, I have noticed that the appeared name does not necessarily mean that the player has the highest rating. Can anyone please shed some light on this.

You will not miss it if you have edited your Player name from Japanese to English. Then again, sometimes it does not come out especially from a boring match.

if that player is not always the HIGHEST rated then i dont know if that name which appears really is "Man of the Match"!

I personally haven't seen this name appear but always went to ratings after each match and by that i decided who man of the match was.
I guess i'm not going to press START soo soon next time to see if I see that name.

Sorry...to be exact...does it appear when there is a replay? Or on the end of match menu screen? I HAVE edited all the players in my squad...so I SHOULD have noticed...but maybe I just haven't had a player being MOM...Do you get to increase stats or something like that? Just something I heard on the grapevine...

Thanks for clearing the air. Am really lost with all the Japanese lingo. So if it is scoreless, no name will be mentioned. Make sense.

By the way, I also noticed something out of the ordinary yesterday. I created an own goal for the 1st time on WE8.I lost the game 2-0. The statistic showed the name of scorer of the opposing team for one of the goals but there is no indication of an OG(own goal) which was created by one of my players unlike in previous edition. Did you notice that? Pretty odd.

Mmmm....I think it should actually happen...but...maybe it wasn't as clear cut...the own goal that is....
