Same here.

I haven't unlocked the classic PES Shop players simply because I don't want to see some of the world's best players ever playing for rival teams.

It's cheating as far as I'm concerned.

Anyway, is anyone else annoyed by seeing Master League veterans reborn?

I'm not annoyed, i think it's great and half the fun of the master league.

If all the old players simply retired and never returned then in ten or so years there would be no-one left. Only made up players and I want to play with and against players i've heard of and not no-bodys.

A master league without maradona, eusabio, di stefano etc. is not half as good as without.

What do you have against them?

Would you rather have made up superstars in their place?

Yes, I would.

You have to look at it from a realistic point of view.

In real life, do you have the likes of Pele and Maradona, or Ronaldo and Zidane "available" to sign for your team as youngsters? And develop them as superstars?

The answer is a big fat no.

Watch what happens over the next 5-10 years.

There'll be new youngsters emerging all over the world who'll develop into the next Zinedine Zidane and the next Ronaldinho. But they're names are not going to be Zinedine Zidane and Ronaldinho! (Like in Pro Evo).

Yeah sure, the next generation of world class players may have similiar attributes, a similiar physical build as well as similiar playing styles to world class players of the past (for example, Platini > Zidane).

But they're not the same person.

Konami are treating this whole regeneration thing as though it's normal to see a veteran player retire, then he mysteriously becomes 17 again and develops into a world class player for a 2nd time in 1 career.

It just doesn't make sense. :realmad:

2015...wow do u jus play 4eva or sumthin?

i get bored by about 2008 and have to restart my season with a new team.

I used to do that in PES4. I don't do that anymore.

I just thought I'd try sticking it out with one team.

Exactly.

I realised this a few months ago. New talent will always come through in the Master League. It's all a matter of discovering them. A lot like scouting a player in real life.

And in any case, it's so satisfying to see your unknown youngster turn into a world class superstar. :)

It's definitely one of the main draws of playing the Master League in my opinion.

I see where you are coming from.

In my opinion though, i'd rather have maradona and co there to play with in the master league than have a Mr Smith knocking in a wonder goal from 30 yards...

It's just my opinion

Saves the makers of the game from a bit of work as well, not having to create and design a few hundred more players that will show up later on in the league.

In fact in theory you could play the master league indefinitly, up to and behond the 3005 season. Konami would then have had to create a millenium worth of new players, quite an awfull lot.

I'd rather have it the way it is anyway. That's just my opinion, i respect yours, that's just mine...

Yer the amount of talent i have brought up or found while in my years on the master league is quite good. It's always good to see them in a European champions team and standing beside the Captain as he lifts up the European Cup :crymore:.

I think the same as you guys Ko-nami and fluke88, I think I had just started a young team off when Ko-nami started his Promissing players thread. My team is made up of all the young talent who have nearly all now made it in the 90's overall and I am really enjoying it as most of them in my 5th season are still 24ish.
