Memroble goalkeeper saves..

As anyone seen a goalie do a fantastic save on WE7 or PES3....On PES3 i layed the ball of to Roberto carlos he whacked it very hard on the grass (it was a wet surface). It was going near the botton post when th GK dived half way across the goal and saved it. Looked fantasic save in replay

my cousin last night, another scorching 3-3 match, had a 20 yard shot and i was already giving him the middle finger in celebration of this cracking winning goal, when his goalie came flying in from out of no where and punched it round the post

Paul Robinson saved me from a point blank header, cant remember who from. Best save I've seen in the series!

and yet people say the goalkeepers are crap on this one?? i disagree completely, i think they are the best, most realistic yet, most are good, but prone to the odd clanger, just like real footy

I disagree, the keepers that the COM takes makes it seem as if the goalkeeper can't make saves when the ball is 1cm from their hand. I agree that there has to be the odd clanger but the frequency that this happens on PES3 is much more than in real life.

maybe, but they are still not as bad as everyone says!!! the clangers they drop are always when they are under pressure for me. btw, did you know that if a ball is going along the floor toward the goalie and you slide tackle, he often doesn't catch the ball and it just bounces off his boady back to you?!? probably scared sh*tless cos my studs are in his face! lol!

The keepers are very realsitic in the game. Even after loads of practice you never really know if your going to score a 1-on-1. The best keeper save for me was a save from buffon, an henry scorcher from the edge of the area and the git fingertipped it onto the underside of the cross bar. Then the defender cleared it with a scissor kick, class!

Buffon has made some great saves for me, but my most memorable was from Kelsen (one of the fake ML goalies). Buffon had been injured previously (I had tried to round a defender before clearing it, but got sliced ) so I had to play Kelsen, and with almost his first touch of the ball, he prevented himself from being scandalously chipped by rushing back and making a famtastic diving save to punch the ball out from on the line.

Saved it - was great.

i find Kelson is crap, he hardly moves for me and i concede loads more goals with him!

Yeah, he's crap compared to most keepers (which is why I signed Buffon), but he's better than Ivanov, and more importantly, pulled off that wonderful save.

But yeah, I'd easily choose Buffon over him.

i always play Kelson over Ivanov on all games in the series! but as soon as you've got the cash, you just gotsta buy a great goalie!

Barthez is always good on PES! overated probably!

Quite often my keeper has saved a shot that was obviously going well wide of the post, only for him to palm the ball into the path of an opposition striker. result: needless goal. This is probably my no.1 gripe about the keepers. And I think the opposition keepers don't close down the angle all that well in 1-on-1's, they seem to leave the far post gaping which allows you to bang one in fairly easily.

Does anyone use the manual goalkeeper control (L1+triangle) regularly? Is it useful apart from 1-on-1 situations?

it does happen a lot, but you cant blame them for trying!!! Buffon is the best goalie by far!

im not sure bout pes3 but in pes2 canizares was absolutely immense. won me masters cup (wen i were 3rd bottom of d2) and d1 pratically on his own!!!!

Given is excellent value for money in ML if you can't afford the likes of Buffon.
