Missing Encounters

Despite into my 50th game of WE7, I have yet to encounter the following:-
1.Have not seen any player drinking to replenish their energy
2.Yet to see a player being bandaged
3. Does the players' hair really moved
4. Have not seen any crowd section dispersing in the midst or at the end of the game.

Are these features really in the game? Did anyone who has played WE7 encounter any of the above?

Nope, I've played it loads and haven't seen any of those either. Mind if I add a couple more to your list?

5. The harder you press triangle, the harder your through ball
6. A slow moving guage for accurate crossing

Heard about those but I haven't seen any evidence.

Tapping /\ for through ball tends to get it intercepted and holding it longer tends to give it more power to get... through. Seems to work for me.

I think the player hair moves when you are about to take a free kick and you turn them left or right. Other than that, I use the furthest away camera so probably wouldn't be able to see it. You can definitly see the hair move when you turn the player's head in player edit mode. Plus his eyes are stuck on following you when you turn his head - freaky indeed!

I don't know about a 'slow moving guage for accurate crossing'! They must have mean't a 'shit crossing system that is much to slow and weak' in my opinion. Sorry boys, I just can't let it lie. I brought this up in another thread yesterday but I feel it's worth saying time and time again.

CROSSES in WE7 are SHIT!!

Otherwise a near perfect game! Gotta love those boys over at Konami!

By the way Zyg, is there someone we can mail with opinions on how PES3 should be (yes, I'm talking about the crosses!)?

I know it's probably too late as it's most probably coded already but it's worth a shot. I need to feel that I at least tried.......

1.Have not seen any player drinking to replenish their energy

I thought this was just dispelled as a rumour? All I've seen in terms of this apparently 'elusive' drinking animation is a short sequence where your players consume some healthy H20 before the start of a penalty shoot-out. It's set as a backdrop for the penalty kicker setup. Really not a biggy at all. People hyped it up way too much.

2.Yet to see a player being bandaged

Haven't seen any bandages at all, either. I have got a player strechered of by those Collina/Codename 47 look-alikes, however (they look like they're taking the player off the pitch for a brutal ass rape with a wide jar. )
It occured on my second WE7 game. An immediate red card followed after an injury left Sheringham laying there clutching his left knee in agony. Sweet.

3. Does the players' hair really moved

Yes, check out Seaman, Davids etc. Other then that, not that I know of. I've heard reports that Beck's hair flings about a bit after a free-kick but that seems to be false.

4. Have not seen any crowd section dispersing in the midst or at the end of the game.

I think they do in Master League. Haven't experienced it because I'm still waiting for a complete patch. Not sure if this happens in an exhibition match though. Anyone else?

5. The harder you press triangle, the harder your through ball

This is true. I've done many Vieira-esque passes to Freddie on the right wing by holding down /\ for longer.

6. A slow moving guage for accurate crossing

Haven't you noticed the gauge to be slower when powering up? I certainly have and welcome it. I'm still iffy on the crossing from the flanks (would prefer it to be more flatter) but the free-kick and 'normal' crossing is right on the mark.

When you say 'normal' crossing do you mean the automatic cross from the wings? I always find this to be too floaty and high and a drastic step backwards compared to WE6:fe.

As for free kicks you have to hit them a lot harder (i.e hold down the square button a lot longer to have any chance of clearing the wall.

When I say 'normal' crossing I mean crossing from anywhere on the pitch apart from the wing. I talked about crossing from the wing when I wrote this:

Which is exactly what you're saying too.

Sorry pal! I'm a little tired.....thursday afternoon at work y'know? Fully agree with everything that you've said. Why oh why does the camera seem to jump backwards when a cross from the flanks come in? Did it do this in WE6:fe? I can't remember.

Have you heard anything about this being corrected in PES3?

No, you've got it wrong. Sorry if that came across as shouting. I was actually pointing out that we both agree on the point. No worries.

I had a similar problem with this too in the beginning. I don't think it was as apparent in FE. I've got used to it, though and it's fine for me now. I use the default camera setting, by the by.

I'm actually compiling a list to send to Konami with my views on what should be changed and/or added in future (not likely PES3, sadly) versions. I got a thank you notice from KOE last year on PES2 so maybe they listen.

I'm hoping against hope it wasn't an automated response though. :(

Care to share the Konami e-mail address. I have been hunting for their e-mail for the last 6 months to no avail. I have many suggestions which I really like them to know.

Sure. It's on the UK Konami website so I don't know where your 'hunting' led you.

[email protected]

As I said before though, it's more then likely an automated response.

I'm thinking of traditional mail now, actually. Maybe you could try the same?
