Multiplayer cup mode major F*** UP!

Four guys, saturday afternoon, four controllers, a 360 and Pro Evo WE 10! Perfect day for a International Cup!

BUT!

We each choose a team, everyone is in a diffrent group (so the other three guys can play against the guy playing with his team), and when we start the game... We cannot play against! WTF! We always did that before! Am I doing something wrong? Or was Konami stupid enough to forget this feature?

How are we supose to play a tournament with friends ? We cant play against each other!!!!!!!

Place yourselves in the same group then, or get through to the quarter finals together etc. If you are all in different groups, how can you expect to play each other straight away?

We play like we always did...

When your team plays, you play your team. The other players play the CPU team playing against you and try to eliminate you. The cups are very challenging and fun to play with friends (not online but up close and personnal), and this error just killed a wounderful aspect of this game.

Naturally, when two Players teams meet, they play head to head.

I see what the problem is now, you all pick a team and play as your team but the others want to play as the CPU against you but they cannot as they have selected a set Human team and as such cannot play as anybody else except that team. That's the way it is designed, not an error.

Yes it an error. All of the previous WE's would let a human player (or players) control a CPU team during a tournament. This created epic games/tournaments since everyone could play games! Even if your human team wasn't one of the teams playing, you could try to «damage» your friends cup dreams by beating him using a CPU team (either alone or with up to 2 other players).

Naturally, in the direct elemination part of the cup, when two human teams would meet, the players would play each other. Don't know if the last update fixed it!

It's an error, there are many of them, in the 360 game. You can't do much in it. They semi-fucked it up in the PS2 game too in that they removed the option to change Player Settings before each game (you have to wait until the match starts) - but at least you can still do it.

Your only option on the 360 is to get the old pen and paper out.
