Need help - headers across face of goal (ps2)

I've been playing Winnning Eleven/PES (PS2) for a year now, but this is my first post in this forum.

I just need to know how to head the ball back across the face of goal when crosses are hit too long to attempt a credible shot on target. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for reading this.

C'mon now it isnt hard.

:x: button, along with the arrow to head where you want it to go.

Head back across the box, but make sure it goes away from the goal. P.S tut, tut, tut... crosses should be netted first time, especially if you double tap, just diving head it near/ far post, but never at the goalie if you are more than 10 yards out.
