Newbie's learning process (1)

Hey, guys.
I just joined this forum to learn more about the PES.
I used to play the PES (or Winning Eleven) on my PS2, but finally purchased the latest version of the PES for my new computer.

I have some question to see if any of you guys can answer for me.

1) I purchased the PES 2009 from the Ebay. It was a retailed version for Russia/Ukraine/Poland (according to the seller). That version did not have Arsenal or Chelsea (They are instead 'North London' and 'North East London' or something like that). At the same time, I had a crash during the BAL mode. So, I tried to patch the game, but none I downloaded worked because it kept saying "the program is missing." I wonder if there is a special patch for different version.

2) Is 'North London' or 'Northeast London' just my game's matter?

Ah, sorry if you get complicated. It just means 'Is that only my PES 09's problem, or everyone else has that one?"

As for the strange 'north london' etc names, thats on everyones dont wory about that lol It just means the teams arent liscensed.

I remember that Arsenal and Chelsea used to be licensed in Winning Eleven 9 before. Damn, Konami. They suck as licensing

Yeah they do dude.

Manchester united and Liverpool are the only english teams licensed in this years version.

As for the crash, it is a resoultion issue on the PC. I think you have to play it at 800 x 600 if I recall correctly.

Redgunner, if you browse around on these forums, you'll find Option Files (I suggest Kowalski's) which edits all the teams to have their respective emblems, kits and correct names.

I had PES 6 but i sold it. But i would love to play PES 5 again. I thinks it was the best PES game ever.

yeh i would play pes 5 but it doesnt work on my ps2 for some reason maybe my ps2 is to old and i played the game too much

Good luck.. DL an option file and you will have all the proper team names etc...
