I know nothing about it as I don't need to use that patch. Maybe it's easier to buy a good RGB scart cable?

I have noticed that even after patching my WE9 to PAL it runs fine through my DVD player/recorder (which only accepts PAL signals btw) but if I try to record a goal the resulting film rolls, making me suspect that it is not a true PAL signal.

Still a good little tool though!

I'm so sorry , Zygalski, with this stupid question: what is RGB scart cable?and we can play the game NTSC with color (with old TV) by using this cable.????

Buying any old RGB Scart Cable should do the trick if you only experience Black and White on your TV while playing WE9.

However, if you experience Black and White and the screen rolls; then you may need a new TV.

Judging from past experiences, I'm pretty sure that all PAL TVs made in the last 5 years support the NTSC signal. However, I also know that most older TVs are incompatible with the NTSC signal.

One of my TVs is over 10 years old and plays WE9 well with the scart cable and has one of the nicest pictures qualities I've ever seen. It might work on yours or it might not.

What brand is your TV, Zygalski? I mean the 10+ year old TV.

I'm not sure but I think most of the big electrical companies such as Samsung and Sony, have always supported the NTSC signal due to them being based in Asia. Asia being an NTSC area of the world.

I know for a fact that most of the smaller electrical companies such as Bush, Amstrad and Philips, haven't always supported the NTSC signal on PAL TVs.

They all do now but a while back, there were quite a few electrical companies who didn't bother to add NTSC compatibility to their PAL TVs.

Wow.

That looks like a pretty old TV. Not sure how you managed to get an NTSC signal working on a TV like that.

From the looks of that particular TV, it doesn't look as though there's a SCART plug on the back, is there? I'm sure SCART technology was introduced in the late 90's. So a RGB SCART cable on an old TV is no use.

I did used to have an old Philips TV once and I tried playing some PS1 import games on it and when I tried booting the games up; the screen rolled and the colour was Black and White.

I do believe that with the right cable, the picture would have appeared in colour and not rolling. Even if it isn't RGB scart, a good quality scart cable like the ones linked above could do it.
