Why is a front cover going to sell a game?

if a kid (and even adults?) who perhaps never played a pes game before, looks around after a football game and he sees henry and totti on the cover, then i'd say he's likely to pick up pes4 over a football game that has a cover like pes2. well, i know i probably would have in my younger days. and for every soul that pes can bless, that's just great.

I agree with most of the people on this thread. The cover is very poor from a design point of view and even the colours do it no justice. We all know that the game will be of a high quality, and I'll never see the UGLY cover as the game will permenantly be in my PS2!!

Reasons for not having Totti on the cover:

You can clearly see here that Totti has been struck on the arm/chest

and here's the little cheat holding his face!

He is a cheat and a dirty player and shouldn't be on the cover. He is a good player but he is a bad example.
