I don't get which 4-4-2 formation this is.
midfield in straight line,
diamond or
2 DMFs - 2 OMFS?

They are all balanced in their own ways.

If you go into the formation setup and look scroll down the formations (4-4-2 ones) then one of them will be described as Well Balanced. It will be a Square looking midfield with 2 x DMF and 2 OMF. Do you get me now?

Just a few things to clear up on:

1. The tournament will be CPU vs CPU, not Management Mode. So i won't be in control of any subs or who takes penalties if it goes to a shoot-out.

2. All teams and tactics must be posted by 4th August (which is when the draw will be), no later, if they aren't in by this date then default settings will be used. If i receive all teams and tactics before this date then i may draw the groups earlier. All teams will be seeded into 4 groups, with the best 4 teams being placed in Seed Group1, the next in Seed Group 2 and so on. 1 team will be randomly picked from each Seed to form the groups for the tournament.

3. All fixtures for the entire tournament will be posted on the 5th August.

Why CPU v CPU and not management?
In management, it's easier and quicker to apply the tactics and you get less hassles from people when the CPU subs off someone who shouldn't be subbed off (like Shevchenko!).

Here are my tactics for Denmark(I use my friends World cup tactics):

Formation: 4-3-3 A
Attack attitude: Left and right defender attack arrow(the red one)
Team: first 7 like it is then put in this order: Rommedahl,Tomasson,Sand,Madsen.
Everything else default.
