Online play - Can 2 play online from one ps3?

My housemate and I used to play together online with two controllers running from one PS2. This feature was removed for the first PS3 outting but I was hoping they might have put this option back in.

Also, I've heard you can do a 4 player legend mode - do you need a seperate PS3 (and game) for each player?

I've looked online for the answers but can't find any info...

From what i've heard, you need seperate machines and seperate copies for 2v2 and 4vCPU. And you can't decide who you play with either, it's all random. And the games aren't ranked. Not sure if this is defo correct but this is what i've heard. If it is true, shame on Konami for being clueless when it comes to online features.
