option file burning help

hi every1...

i need help on how to apply the wemerica 4.0 final option file patch. i know the extracted files has 5 folders in them. since i don't have no "accessories" for my ps2, so i can only use the bin-cue.

the thing is that my ps2 won't read em. tried rebulding the bin stucture using cdgen with the tutorial guide (cd2mem) in this forum, but still no luck. so my guess is that my ps2 just can't read backed up cd's other than psx format. tried burning with dvds but burners won't burn cd image onto dvds.

so long story short, is there a guide or any of you fine knowledge-able folks can help me? lets say by help me with a tutorial on how to convert the bin file or the other option file types, into a working ppf file. so i can patch them with ppf'o'matic.

cuz with ppf i never had any problems. sorry if all of this sounds too long, just wanna make things clear. thanks in advance.

Yeah I know.... but it's kinda like choosing to get to somewhere using a bike or crawling there. If the cd2mem doesn't work then I'd give up on it. Not worth wasting all those disks anyway.

ok... thanks for that... another question. if i have a network card and add a hard disk drive in my ps2. will option file be able to be uploaded? (from pc to ps2) if yes which file would that be? is it already in one of the five folder created in wemerica 4? cuz max drive is rather expensive here down under.
