Good point mate, im into Boxing, love watching it and go to boxing myself, loed the Calzaghe vs. Lacy fight-Calzaghe showed him who was boss alright..

I was also watching KOTV Classics and it was Arturo Gatti vs. Micky Ward - what a war those 2 fought, great fight...A MUST SEE FOR ALL BOXING FANS.

I think Golf is a pile of wank, probably because I lack the patience and can't even finish a game of mini-golf without violently throwing away the club.

Occasionally watch K1 when it comes on, but that's it for fighting sports.

Golf is amazing when you're decent, im not saying im great, but I can get around the course in a decent amount of strokes and it can be really relaxing

I agree. The satisfaction you get when hitting a good drive, good bunker shot or long putt is very fulfilling

I love American Football but have sympathy with rugby fans who say theirs is a harder, tougher sport.

American Football is, to me anyway, their players are bigger and faster than Rugby players but they only play in spurts. What Rugby player would play for 3 30 second passages of play and then go off and take oxygen ? And the average Tackle in American football weighs well over 300lbs (thats 21.5 stone for us Brits) and can hardly walk never mind run for 80 minutes.

But like I say I do love the sport and am currently addicted to Madden 06 (and have been for for nearly a year now - well since it came out last Summer). But the padding and Helmets are all show - its to make these giants appear to be wearing armour etc. I see no need for it, I think US Football could be played with no padding or helmets. The thing that is annoying is on the highlight reels which they show every week during the season you have some Safety doing a big hit on someone when all he does is dive into the ball carriers legs with his helmet - that to me is not a tackle. Anyone with a helmet on could do that , so losing the headgear would certainly change the way the game was played.

On the subject of Rugby, my Uncle played 5 times for Wales at Union and represented Wales and Great Britain at League (winning the World Cup in the 1950's). He is convinced League is a much harder sport than Union.

Anyway watch my Cardinals go next year !!!!

I've just noticed, especially with the championships on at the moment, no-one has mentioned snooker... fantastic tactical sport and brilliant both to watch and play.

I love Snooker, although sort of hate playing it. :blush: Usually prefer Pool to playing as it's easier for my type but Snooker is definately more enjoyable than people think it is.

Only bad thing about Snooker is when they put it on before MoTD, times get rescheduled. :no:

Anyway, what's happening about this Other Sports Section. Are the mods considering it?
