Guys,

Is there any patch which is considered to be the definitive patch for PES 6 PC edition?

I see there is the Superpatch, then there is the Shollym patch too amongst hundreds of others, there is even a patch for the whole in my socks!

Is there a guide of what is what? The best? ... or close to it?

id go for WEMERICA i regard it as a very good patch. The ultimate patch depends on your preferences thats why its best to downlaod a lot of files to tailor it to your needs.

It depends on what you need..
Someone prefer full EPL while others maybe prefer SPL or others.

May I ask what the different between EPL and SPL are and in fact what they are referring to? I assume one is the Superpatch?

Is it just me or is there no sticky in the download forum explaining everything in detail for us new guys? That would be handy to have a guide that helped break things down for people.

Ok thans Wan,

As another question then if I end up downloading all these patches can I run them simulatenously? That may sound like a stupid question because logically some pathces may cross over one another by differnetiating some of the information being edited.

I guess I am looking for the most complete all round patch with latest transfers,strips and gameplay.

Since there is no sticky someone should write the "definitive guide to patching PES 6" with what patches contain what (synopsis) and what you need to do as well as any special utilities you may need. I know, easier said than done.

Oh.. whilst I am at it... is there a guide you recommend reading for the difference between Option files and Patches... again, yes a noob question but yeah, got to start somewhere.

I'll try searching for more info.

Option Files can just modify things that present & editable in the game (kits, apps, stats, .etc)

While Patches can modify things and add new things too (new stadiums, edit stadium, extensive kit edit, extensive apps edit)

Ah, thanks for that definition. That clears it right up for me.

I guess I will go for the patch route then. But there is so much damn choice its not funny.

I ended up patching my PES5 on xbox and it was the best thing I ever done concerning the game itself.

If there is a way to combine the differences between some of the patches i.e.

Whats missing WEMERICA but is in SPL or EPL - if that could be merged that would be great.

Seems like I will need to learn how to use some of these tools.

Try MyMyPatch.

It's great if you don't want other unknown European teams or American teams.

And there's a guide applying patch there.

It's available on Ps2 download and it's for PS2.

Another question also...

Can you run option files and patches simultaneously? I.e. use the option file to update transfers and keep the game accurate?

I noticed that some patches have updates in the form of Option File releases - so it seems.

yep, most patches come with option files.
