patched option files

just had a thought...

people that have patched their PES3's....can they not put it as a option file on the internet?

i mean will that option file not work as it is a PES3 option file....this could be a very stupid question and im guessing that it probably is....

If I'm reading this right you are wondering if people that don't have a modified ps2, can copy an option file from a person who has and get real kits, boots etc.? No, that is not possible..

you know zyg put out that thread about patching PES3?

well u dont need a modified PS2...Just a slide card and magic swap disc.

so i thought maybe they could do that, get that option file and put it on the net....

An option file only contains data that can be edited using the in-game Edit mode.

In a patched version, you play with an option file where the kits are set to Default.
If you use the same option file on a non-patched game disk, the kits will look as they do in an original version of the game. ie not good.
In the patching process, the default kit images are replaced with patched kits with logos etc. This is why they show in a patched game.

If you use a good option file with edited kits (pesfan, georginho, whatever) on a patched game, the edited kits will show rather than the patched kits unless you set them to Default.
Hope this makes sense.

In other words, if you want to play a patched game, the disk itself has to be patched. The option file won't do that for you.
