Which patches/mods (if any) work without having to edit anything, just having to be extracted to the we7i folder? Thanks in advance.

Your right, none of the patches allow you to do that. PPF patches are easier as they allow you to rip your game to your Hard Drive and you apply the patch to the image and re-burn at 4x speed to CD.
