Hi guy's, I am new to all this patching etc although not to PES so I thought it about time I asked a few simple questions :

Could someone please tell me what I need to do to be able to download patches etc for PES3 on PS2 ?

I have read some of the editing guide but my question really is what hardware do I need other than my PS2, PC ?

Does my PS2 need to be chipped ?

Please please please help, I love the beautiful game & have missed out for far too long now !!!!

BB.

Hi. All the following info can be seen in the sticky threads in the Editing section.

1. The link here will show you what you need to do to your PS2 to play patched/import games.

2. This thread will show you how to rip your PES3 DVD so it fits onto a 700MB CDR and is easily patchable.

3. This thread will show you how and where to download almost all the patches.

4. And this thread will guide you through the patching process.

All of what you need is described and explained in each of the mentioned threads. Good luck with patching and use the help threads for advice if you have any problems.

Is there anything I need to be wary of ?

Silly mistakes to be avoided ?

How much better do you thing the patches make playing PES3 ?

So many questions, sorry, but please bear with me, I won't be long getting up to speed...honest !

Check out the screenshots threads somewhere in the Editing section to give you a taste of what a patched game looks like. You can find these by doing a search.

Playing a patched game with Georginho's fully updated option file is just about as good as it gets when it comes to playing PES3

Read through the threads before trying the guides to get an idea of where there may be problems. Hopefully, you won't have too many problems if you just follow what the guides tell you what to do.

You should only think about installing a chip yourself if you are very amazing with soldering stuff. Otherwise, it's safer to let the experts do it for you.

I thought that could well be the case, do you know of anywhere in the London area that you could recommend to do the job for me ?

Great site by the way mate, only been on 2 days but already had my eyes opened to the even more beautiful game !!!!!

Keep up the good work guys & hopefully I will be able to bring something new/useful to the site rather than keep asking questions that i'm sure have been asked time and time again !!!!

Quite a few people ask about chipping in London but there aren't any recommended people. Checking some of the markets may be a good place to start.
I had mine done at www.thebarras.co.uk which is based in Glasgow. Haven't had any problems with it at all.

Glad you like the site. We have a good bunch of lads on here.

Cheers for that Zyg, I had a look on the site & was very re-assured to see the first thing mentioned on the PS2 info link was the messiah 2 chip !!!!!!

Seems they are unable to provide the homeservice at the moment ( hopefully just a christmas thing ) but I may give them a call & try to arrange a day to fly up & get it done, if they can specify a day I guess.

Hi to all of ya, yeah everyone on the site so far has been well helpful & friendly - well lets face it we're all here for the same reason arn't we ?!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to say I am really excited about getting up and running, I first found out about the patched PES games when OPS2 ran a small feature on it about a year or so ago & I have been tentatively burrowing around the outskirts eversince - fool !!!

But now I'm glad I have started to get things movin' & VERY glad the first guys I have approached are as friendly & helpful as you guys are - Thank you very much & MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all !!!

Congrats to all the people that make this stuff happen.

Special thanks to zygalski for his continuous efforts to help make a dream like the patched PES3 come true for me.
