Pes 4: Option File Disaster / Fault/ Bug

Just like to start by saying I love PES 4, I have warmed to the gameplay and it's the best football game since..... pes 3!

A huge worry and concern is that last night after playing all night, doing kits (which I was pretty DAMN proud of) Editing players (eg. Netret to Nedved etc etc) and went to bed at 3am feeling truimphed and ready to do battle the next day (today). I turn it on and I get "ERROR LOADING OPTION FILE - FILE IS CORRUPT"

So as a test I edit a few things, reboot and it happens AGAIN. I've been endlessly trying but PES 4 keeps creating corrupted option files that cannot be loaded. I'M GUTTED!

Is anybody else having this problem or does anybody know what the hell I can do about it?

I've never had this. Mainly because every new PES, I makesure I delete EVERYTHING in my memory card. I think you should do the same .

If you turn off your while saving or anything like that sometimes this can happen, if you didnt do that - download the pesfan one and buy an xport

yeah the max drive is on my "to buy" list but I could try deleting everything. I'm not stupid enough to turn the ps2 off whilst saving but my little bro might have. Cheers I'll give it a go.
